1  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / Where To Find Things To Recycle / More bottle caps! on: February 08, 2011 09:06:09 PM
I also have a ton of bottle caps, about half a zip-loc gallon bag full. They're from various alcohol and sodas, I used to make bottlecap earrings out of them, and my best friend moved, donating hers to me. And so now, I don't do so much bottlecap crafting anymore. Some of them are rusty and not clean, but the majority were cleaned upon collection.

Anyone want? ^^
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Birth Control Cozy [ 3 pics ] on: October 11, 2010 05:53:44 PM
Long time lurker, first time poster.

Behold! My uterus has a happy.

I would've much rather preferred beads, but I live in the middle of butt-cake nowhere, and shipping is a beast.

I originally went to my LiveJournal friends and asked: "HAPPY FACE UTERUS, OR SAD FACE EMBRYO?"
They said that sad babies were more controversial than happy uterus-es. SO HERE WE ARE.

The BC itself came with a little slip case, so I cut it to fit inside the cozy, so the punch-outs wouldn't snag all over the yarn.

I'm so proud of it. It makes me smile.

Pattern: Um. Well. I'm bad at this part, soooo. I'll get around to it some other time?
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / how to go about making...A MINI ARC REACTOR. on: March 24, 2010 02:45:13 AM
You heard me.

THIS.

I want to recreate Tony Stark/Ironman's source of power and miniaturize it to a pendant.
It might take me a while to do, but what's baffling me so far is how to get it to light up. All I got so far: watch batteries.
I've searched for LED's, taken apart old toys, and can't find a thing. And I'm NOT wire/electric savvy.
I wanna make TWO of them, one for me and one for my boyfriend. We have a Tony/Pepper relationship like that. ♥
I'm trying for the pendant to be no bigger than a Pokemon TCG Coin / Sacagawea Dollar. I'm not really looking for details, just a way to light it up. Preferably with an on and off switch. If anyone can give me any pointers, lemme know. I'm lucky enough that his mum's an electrician, just in case I need help with any wiring.

PLEASE AND THANK YOU!
