I got engaged on 12.17.10 and I'm soooo ready for the wedding! I plan on crafting a ton of stuff. I've been trolling the wedding thread forever! Being so freshly engaged I don't have much done yet but I'm quite ambitious! On to the crafty goodness I've made so far... By the way, as you will clearly be able to tell, our colors are black and green. But not just any green...Kawasaki green. The fiance rides dirtbikes...a Kawasaki obviously. And so it is...
First...just for fun...THE RING!
(The picture really just does not do it justice. It's absolutely gorgeous!)
And...the dress. Yes, I already bought it.
And on to the crafting!
This is one of the button brooches I made for the bridesmaids. We're already broke and moving out of state in the midst of planning/paying for our wedding (we're trying to pay for everything ourselves) so the girls' dresses are going to be just plain black dresses they can ACTUALLY wear again so I made brooches to kind of dress them up a little.
I made a button bouquet for myself also! (There seems to be a button theme here...hmmm.)
The boys (groom, groomsmen, fathers, and ring bearer included) will all be wearing Converse. I had some custom made for our anniversary last year and since his favorite colors just somehow happen to be our wedding colors he will wear the custom ones. My girls and I (flower girl included) will be wearing Vans. Unfortunately for me, Vans doesn't make a green/black checkered option in my FAVORITE STYLE EVER! so this was another craft I volunteered upon myself. My pair I wear all the time are pretty dingy from many nights at concerts so I didn't want to use those. And being poor, I didn't really want to buy another pair just to color them with Sharpies....so I found some solid white slip-ons (knock-off Vans style) at a dollar store for $8! This is them....(complete with Great Dane legs. *LOVE* my Daisy girl)
So they started as these boring white cheapo Vans knock-offs...and I transformed them into awesomeness using Sharpies and my amazing skills!
They look better now that I've sprayed them with sealer...it really helps to hide the ugly spots! Luckily for me.
Anywho....I hope you guys like my stuff. Comments/criticism/whatev...all are welcome! More to come later. I'll update as I finish stuff.
I had the day off work today so I decided to craft a little!
I made these photo props for when we're doing our pictures between the ceremony & reception. We'll each hold one...
This I made for the dessert buffet we're having...
Hope you guys like them!
