1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: Christmas Cross Stitch Ideas on: November 16, 2014 11:29:09 PM
I have a cross stitch pattern book (Twisted Stitches)... It has a Santa in his underwear. If I ever finish my current Xstitch project, I'll try to knock that out before Christmas.

Too cute! I love gnomes. I'm working on a HUGE (24"x36") cross stitch project right now.. Hoping to finish in the next week or two. I've been on it for almost 2 months!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: In need of Vintage Pattern, anyone know where to find it? on: January 07, 2012 10:50:43 PM
Not sure where you live.. But if you have JoAnn Fabrics or Hancock Fabrics in your area, you can't go wrong there! I've bought patterns very similar to yours at Hancock before.

This is adorable! I'd like to help also but I'm more of a sewing stalker.. My skills are extremely limited! Let us know if you find a pattern that works!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Rockabilly gorgeousness! on: January 07, 2012 10:41:13 PM
This is super cute! I love rockabilly dresses but 1) They're so stinking expensive, and 2) I'm not great at sewing  Sad

Thus, I have only a few of them. If I had my way, I'd wear only this style of clothing.. every day Smiley
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: ENGAGED! Ready to craft an awesome wedding! UPDATED!! on: June 02, 2011 11:08:42 AM
Less than 4 months to go! After stressing over how the heck my fiance and I could afford to pay for the wedding, my best friend and I spent 3 hours going through all the stuff she used at her wedding 2 years ago. Her parents bought everything - rented NOTHING! - with the intentions to sell it afterwards, which they still haven't done. Luckily for me!! They're the greatest! They're letting me use anything I want and since our colors are somewhat similar, I get to use a ton! I'm so excited now and not the least bit stressed! It's super helpful to have someone that has recently gone through the wedding planning process, especially when it's someone so close to me! My parents got married at the courthouse and my brother and SIL had a super casual wedding so I wouldn't have had anyone to help with most of the stuff without my BFF! Love her!

You guys rock. Thanks so much for all the ideas! I haven't been on Craftster in so long, between my niece's tball games and planning for the wedding and working I haven't had much free time! So since we are trying to pay for the wedding ourselves, I've been kinda stressing over how we could afford a wedding...I can only afford to put about $450 each month into the wedding account.. My photographer alone is $800 and the venue is $900!! So I started to stress.. I didn't know how in the world we would be able to afford everything.. Luckily, my best friend came to the rescue! She got married almost 2 years ago and her parents BOUGHT EVERYTHING!! They didn't rent at all because they realized they could buy everything for about the same price as renting, with the intentions of selling things later. Fortunately for me, they haven't sold anything at all... and my colors are somewhat similar to hers! We spent 3 hours looking through everything last weekend and they have sooooo much stuff I can use for free. They are the greatest!! Plus her mom (my "other mother") is sewing the bridesmaids' dresses for the girls... which is going to save me bunches also! We are moving out of state about 6 weeks after the wedding so they are our lifesavers. With the money I'm saving on the wedding, we can spend on the move! Thank god for good friends!!
9  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Adorable signs! on: April 20, 2011 06:25:59 PM
Actually I wish it were more creative like that...

Nope. They're from michaels. I just painted them and used my cricut to cut out all the designs...

Basically if these were cakes I'd be awesome at making the ones that come in a box...but otherwise unskilled at making them from scratch!

I still love them though!!

I posted these on my wedding thread but I'm too in love with them to not post them here!

I made these photo props for when my fiance and I are taking pics between the ceremony and reception. I'll hold one and he'll hold the other... (obviously)

I made this one for the dessert table...

Hope you guys like these!! I love them. I don't mean to toot my own horn but I just can't help it.  Tongue
