Awesome! I sent the link to James. He loves seeing people inspired by his work.

From the thumbnail, I thought this was a Blythe doll, but wowza.  I had one of these that was handed down to me as a kid...she was a very patriotic one, probably a July doll since my step-mom's bday was in July.

I was actually looking at these on eBay not too long ago, and pulled up my search history to find the name for everyone.  The company who made them was called Bradley, and if you search on eBay in the dolls category for Bradley, you can find a bunch at nice prices.

Love it!  Might I suggest stiff plastic canvas as a substitute for the cardboard?

I think 'heart on the tang' is my new favorite phrase.   Grin

LOL, your pug looks just like mine.  She doesn't care too much to wear people clothes either.

These are adorable, especially the panda one.  Makes me want a LittleFee even more.  XD
7  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / We Are Sex Bob-omb! Scott Pilgrim Stencilled Shirts on: August 08, 2010 03:23:30 PM
A friend and I have been (un)patiently waiting for the Scott Pilgrim movie to come to theaters.  I read the first book years ago when it first came out, and introduced him to it last year.  We're going to see it on Friday, and decided that we wanted to stand out from the uninitiated crowd by showing our already well-fostered love.

This was my first try at a freezer paper stencil...and I'm extremely happy with the results.  I had a hard time finding the right picture to use, but I wanted to use the logo that is on the Kim's drums in the book.  I ended up finding a tiny picture from the movie, and blew it up quite a bit to get the size we wanted (about 4 inches wide).

I wanted just a shirt with the logo very bold on it, so this is what I ended up with.  I took the pic with it on a hanging bust, so it's not a flat image of it.  There were a couple of places where the paint bled under the stencil...I guess I didn't have it ironed on as well as I thought.

My buddy, on the other hand, was a little more demanding. He wanted his to be more vintage and worn looking. So I used a sponge and layered the paint on little by little, leaving some spots lighter than others.  This is what he will be sporting.

I really enjoyed making these, despite being a little nervous about it at first.  I'd love some feedback, as I plan on doing more stencils in the future, and the more experienced people out there may be able to see some flaws that I didn't notice.

LOL! I recognized that design on the front page.  Awesome job! XD

I'm in the middle of making a Sex Bob-omb stencil for shirts for a friend and myself.

I think I'm in love! (with the watch and the owner) Grin
10  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: NEW Rock Pets/Totem Things. PICTURE MORBID OBESE on: June 07, 2009 08:50:39 AM
I'm partial to bunnies, but I think I like the neko the best!  I just realized that their little faces remind me of the Sackboys from LittleBigPlanet.
