Here is my awesome package from Micheleigh24 - it is so awesome, I love it all!!!

First an awesome altered book:

Front

Back (with one of my kitties investigating)

A small tote bag that I can use for my electronics - it is so me!

A coffee mug with a perfect saying

and my favorite - a paint can with all kinds of computer saying on it, I just love it and am going to turn it into an ice bucket for my bar so all my geeky friends can read it when they come over to hang out!

Thank you so much for all my stuff I love it and it is totally me!!!!

yes a gigantic Star Wars Teesha Moore inspired bag...that's right be totally jelly

I forgot to mention that some of the patches are stitched using glow in the dark floss so some of them should glow the outlines in the dark.  I also thought that if you wore it cross body that the trim on the handle looked like Chewy from star war's sash.  I have never made patches like this so I hope they turned out ok.

I also recived from Micheleigh34 while I was out of town and the package is amazing!  I will post pictures of my goodies in a few!

OK, I was working really hard cramming my project into my last few hours and just read that we have an extension - Yay!  I have the main part of the project done, but was not going to be able to add the extras like I wanted to - but now I can!!!

Thanks!

Hey, checking in - tried a few new things but some didn't work out as expected so I had to redo some ideas.  Still crafting away when I can though.
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Prayer Flag Swap Rd. 2 GALLERY! on: January 23, 2013 06:15:08 PM
I received from SPARKS yesterday and what a surprise.  She sent me 2 becaue she sent late - toally not necessary but I was very very excited!!

My first one is JOY in a very Bright happy pattern - I love it and it matches my craft room (Yellow and Hot Pink)

and my bonus flag is for my support of our Military - to me it has a small town parade type of feel and I love it.  I have been Very luck this round!

Thanks SPARKS - you are an awesome partner!!

I received my flag yesterday from MaryColleen... not only do I absolutely love it, but it's like she and I were reading each other's minds!  Cheesy

The funny thing is that I think we were both a bit uneasy about how the other one would feel about the simpler style flag...but we both did it! "

I think its great that our flags are so similar but so different - I was super worried it would be too simple but I'm glad you like it.  I also think its great that we both tried printing on fabric for the first time!  As for mine, its found a happy home on the wall in my craft room.

I received a simply beautiful flag from Muddy21 today and I love it!!  She combined my love of water, theme of enjoying the little things and finding joy in all places.  Footprints is my favorite poem and the quote on the bottom is perfect.  The seashells are sewn on and are from a trip that Muddy21 took.

I also received this great post card that is going up in my craft room - I love crayons!

Thank you so much Muddy21, I can't wait to hang my flag but its going to be indoors because I don't want it to be destroyed.

I hit the jackpot at the fabric store the other day and am so excited - I got the perfect additions for my item - I was actually giggling while I was picking the stuff out.

According to the USPS both my partners received today - I hope they like my flags - they pale in comparison to the flags here that are so beautiful!

I'm really nervous now...

I have to say, every time I'm in a swap, I realize how unskilled I am as a crafter...  I love all the new flags so much--so many beautiful variations.  I continue to try, and can only hope that my skill and competence will improve over time.  I feel like my imagination always outmatches my ability.

I always feel the same - my thinking always seems so literal and never as creative as I think it should be, especially when I see what everyone else comes up with.  It is something I am trying to work on.
