Gorgeous!  The buttons look totally real.  I think adding the pin cushion was the right idea.

Well at least I'm not alone!  If you find something post it here and I'll do the same.  Cheesy

Thank you to everyone for giving me some ideas.  I've checked into each one of the sites you've mentioned.  What I can tell you is that many of these sites don't have ball chain in the size I need, which is 2.4mm or smaller, and no one seems to have the colors I'm looking for.  grrr.

The easiest colors to get seem to be blue, red, black and white.  What I need is pink, green, yellow and other pastel colors.  Metaliferous had some great stuff, but the ball chain is too big.  It would be more suited to key chains than necklaces.  So... I'm still stuck.  Ballchain.com has the basic primary colors for a good price, so I might go with them.

Take a look at these pics to see what I'm talking about.....

Aren't those colors great? I contacted ArtyFax about the designer for these necklaces but they never responded.  Back to the hunt.

Thanks for the tips.  The only thing is that I need to buy them at wholesale prices.  I swear that someone is making them somewhere... I just have to find them   Smiley

I wish I had the answer for this too! Does anyone know?  I'd love to use plastic rings in my work.

I use plain paper towels.  I cut one to go underneath and one to sit on top.  It works beautifully and never gets too hot to touch. * Of course don't leave it in for longer than necessary!

Hi.  I'm a necklace and pendant maker.  For my newest items I want to use ball chain, but I'm bored with the standard silver color.  I've seen other crafters selling necklaces with colored chain in black, pink, red, yellow etc.  Where are they buying it?  I'd like for it to be the smaller size... 2.4 mm or less.  Plastic or metal will work. Does anyone have a source they'd like to share.  Google has been no help so far.

Also... if you have a suggestion for another type of chain/cord that I can buy inexpensively that would work with modern/funky pendants let me know.  Smiley

Those are lovely.  I like the simple silhouettes.

The idea of this dress is really cute.  Maybe think about bringing the side panels on the top portion closer in and minimizing the center panel.  I think that would help give the appearance of a "cinched" waist.  Love the fabrics!
