I started making stuff for my little guy last year, and I had the hardest time with patterns being sized way too big. I finally ran across Ottobre Design Magazine (http://www.ottobredesign.com/) - and they have lots of cute, well fitted little boy (and girl) styles. I think the sizing starts around 4 months.
