My MOH came over the other night and we tried out various ways of making invitations. The pictures below are of our the final product of our tests. They actually seem like they'll be pretty easy except that this rough draft is sort of crooked because my paper cutter couldn't be located the night we did these.
I think the hardest part will be printing the little pages since I don't have Microsoft Publisher which everyone I've asked recommends. I'm going to just practice and make do with Word...
The ribbon on the front will be sealed with either a wax seal or possibly a fimo/sculpey seashell or sand dollar. I found a seller on ebay who makes molds for that type of clay and I think it would hold up better than delicate seashells.
Also, the paper I'm going to use has 4 different shades of blue paper so people will get different colored invitations, however I think the ribbon pulls them together. The color in the picture isn't so great, I had to take these with my camera phone since my digital camera is dead atm.
