1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / stumped on: December 15, 2010 04:43:23 AM
Hi folks!
As I was laying in bed last night avoiding studying for finals I was told by my bf that he had gotten my niece christmas presents again this year. I was trying to think of something she could make him [with my assistance]. Any ideas?
She's 3 and super close to him, she calls him uncle chris and always asks me if she can call him. She pretends to text him too.. lol.
Anyways I can sew, scrapbook, etc. I have supplies to sew, papercraft, paint, resin, etc.
I was thinking maybe salt dough ornaments she can paint but i want a little more.
He's 33 and a highschool ESL science teacher.
Thanks for any help!
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Calling all teachers on: December 01, 2010 09:41:45 AM
Hi!
This is the first year back to teaching for my boyfriend after a two year absence and I wanted to make him a teacher survival kit of sorts. I made a mini one in the beginning of the year but wanna make a big one for christmas. He teaches high school science.
So far I have..
Dry erase markers
Tylenol
Tums
Cough drops
Hershey kisses
Tissues
Stress ball
Any other ideas?
I wanted to maybe package it in a new lunch bag with silverware. And does anyone know where I can order those motivational posters?
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / unique way to give tickets. on: November 08, 2010 03:48:10 PM
So i always get my boyfriend tickets to something for christmas as his big gift. One year it was hockey tickets and i wrapped them up in a blanket i made. Another year I did red sox tickets and made a puzzle he had to put together. Now this year I;m doing blue man group tickets. I reallly want to paint myself blue! but I don't know how to incorporate that into presentation lol. I was thinking of taking pictures of myself but would like to do something better then just holding up a sign. So any ideas?
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Bathing suit fabric? on: June 18, 2010 07:29:06 PM
Hi!
I've been searching high and low for a bathing suit top that will fit and not be ugly. I'm rather busty and I cant find any bikini tops that fit well, are not ugly, or 100$+ so I figured i'd try my hand at making one. Only problem is I dont know what sort of fabric to use? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks:)
5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / First matchbox shrine on: April 10, 2010 10:49:18 AM
I made this shrine for my boyfriend and my anniversary later this month. It's my first one.

Front of shrine

Inside with all the pieces

Close up of the insides

There's a tiny scroll with a message. It's tied with a piece of hemp. A key to handcuffs that is suppose to be the key to my heart Tongue and a tiny shell from our beach where we spend most summers and had our first date at. I also glued a piece of love ribbon inside the shrine. I hope he likes it..he's into all the mushy stuff
