1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / mickey mouse curtains = 4 hours put into the cutest sundress ever! now with tut! on: May 01, 2005 05:09:56 PM
here is my favorite thing that i have made so far and posted on here! it's my mickeymouse (and crew) sundress. last saturday it was curtains and now its a sundress (yes people do call me scarlet after gone in the wind). well i was bored one day after school and i was urging to get home so i could make my dress. it took me about 4-5 hours. the top is just a cami top that i deisgned and then the bottom is a circle skirt but i took out some of the fullness. the whole dress is lined with a coorispoding green. i hope you like =) i still need to put some more fabric in one of the sides so the skirt will go over my hips since i have huge ones for my size but thats the only adjustment i think i'm going to make, what do you think? i know in the picture is looks a little gappy under my arm but it's really not.

close up of the bodice. i topstiched everything so it would create a nice clean edge

here is the tutorial...

it's not a very good one it just shows you what to cut out. and then you sew them all together in order and then put a zi[[erer in the side

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / fat buddies skirt on: January 24, 2005 08:24:31 PM
this was a shirt i got from salvation army last summer for about a dollar. i made this awhile ago but i'm a little lazy when it comes to taking pictures.
all i did to it was cut off the hem about 5 inches and used it as a waistband and then cut a square in the back and a square in the front and fit it size and then attached the hem to the skirt. east-peasy lemon squeezy!

any additions to it?

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / a cute ballerina jean skirt on: January 24, 2005 07:32:58 PM
this is a pair of old navy jeans i bought from salvation army for about 2 bucks. they were a little too tight for me to wear as pants but since they were only about 2 dollars i figured i could use them for something. well first i deided i thought i wanted to use them as "patched" capris but they didnt look that good after i had finished glueing ALL of the patches on. then i ripped them off but there was still some glue stuck to it so i whipped out the handy dandy acrylic paint and painted away. then i thought it needed something else to it so i got my ballerina that was on my tutu when i was five and glued it over a bunch of glue that was stuck on the jean skirt. i hand sewed some siquin stars with little beads in the middle of them and then some glitter paint and a big white felt heart of the butt pocket. and of course i had to put my name tag (too bad it's my last name) on it. and then sewed some hot pink skirt lining in the middle. and TA DA! a perfect cute ballerina jean skirt =D
