here is my favorite thing that i have made so far and posted on here! it's my mickeymouse (and crew) sundress. last saturday it was curtains and now its a sundress (yes people do call me scarlet after gone in the wind). well i was bored one day after school and i was urging to get home so i could make my dress. it took me about 4-5 hours. the top is just a cami top that i deisgned and then the bottom is a circle skirt but i took out some of the fullness. the whole dress is lined with a coorispoding green. i hope you like =) i still need to put some more fabric in one of the sides so the skirt will go over my hips since i have huge ones for my size but thats the only adjustment i think i'm going to make, what do you think? i know in the picture is looks a little gappy under my arm but it's really not.

close up of the bodice. i topstiched everything so it would create a nice clean edge

here is the tutorial...

it's not a very good one it just shows you what to cut out. and then you sew them all together in order and then put a zi[[erer in the side

is that straight stitch or zigzag stitch?  or is it serged?

i did the traditional way of making two threds and then pulling them together (yes it is a bitch to do, exspecially if it were to break) and then i straight stitched just below my finished gather line and then i serged like the bottom three tiers since it was just plain cotton fabric i knew it was going to unravel. and also i helpful tint colorcode each tier when you'ce gathering it it makes it alot easier Wink haha
