1  Re: 4X6 Art Swap Round 4 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Jarrisk on: July 30, 2012 08:12:37 AM
I'm gone for a couple days, and the gallery is full to the brim!

First of all: the puzzle one- brilliant. I had one of those "why didn't I think of that?" moments.
Second: omaigoodgollygosh everyone's looks amazing! I swear these swaps have the best galleries.
Third: I'm so glad you liked it Subee! Smiley

Anywho, I received, though I'm not entirely sure from who, considering there was no username included on either the art piece or the lovely decorated envelope. Either way, this is what I received:

It looks even better in real life; it's all shiny as the stars! Cheesy
I think it's painted and raised tinfoil wrapped around something, I'm not sure; I've never seen anything like it.
In any case, I love it! Thank you, Erika!

2  Re: Dotee Swap #12 - Send out 5/25 in The Swap Gallery by Jarrisk on: June 13, 2012 06:02:16 PM
Woo, finally had a spare moment to look at the gallery and post photos.
First of all I must say that everyone's dotees look amazing! Smiley

Anyhoo, I received this lovely felted green-cheeked conure (my favorite bird) from Kmac. It's the first felted thing I've ever owned Grin

And I received this cute fairy from Bec99. Also there's this little polka-dotted heart button on the tail that I am in inexplicable love with.

3  The Wooden Gumball Machine in Completed Projects by Jarrisk on: July 09, 2011 02:32:19 PM
I figure that this goes here. As my first post showing my own crafts I decided to start with the one I'm most proud of.
My preferred craft is woodworking, but since I don't have any tools of my own, I only get to practice every so often.
Anyway I recently spent two weeks at my uncles farm. He has a LOT of wood working machines, so I finally got to finish my cabinet and table. More importantly, I got to make this:

Who woulda thought, a gumball machine made of wood! This is by far, my favorite project that I've done.

He had a lot of different kinds of scrap wood so I put 'em all together and cut it on the lathe!

The top is made from an old 7-Up bottle.

It really works too!  Grin

Bubble gum is so much more delicious when it comes out of a gumball machine!
