This is the hoodie I made from PurringCat for the Amazing hoodie swap. the hoodie I thrift-ed from the local Goodwill, and then created a patch using tshirt scraps, a pillow case and a whole lot of time! Each pieces of the cat is cut out and then sewn piece by piece. It may be hard to see but the details such as toes, and the feathers in the wings are stitched in. I then painted it on the ears, the eye, and face, the new and tail to give it some depth with a shimmery silver, and decked it off with a houndstooth bow and skull button. I also added kitty easy to the top of the hood! It look great on her too which is awesome! All in All it took me probably five or more hours from start to finish (excluding planning and what not) It was my first time trying this sort of technique.
I re-con'ed this shirt out of one of my male roommates unwanted plain black t-shirts. I cut it down to a much more flattering fit, and then stenciled the words "I Am the mid-season upgrade." Across the chest. It's a really... REALLLY. really nerdy reference that probably no one would get, but it's been my new saying around the house lately
I joined in a roleplaying gaming with two of my other roommates, it's a sort of Mecha Wars cross over RP, and i play Kensuke aida from Evangelion. Anyways the point is I joined the game right at the tail end. We only have a few months to go before it's over, so as the new character joining "mid-season" with an "upgraded" Mecha right before things start to get really serious... I'm the Mid-season upgrade. Its a common trope in Giant Robot stories.
ok I guess if I have to explain it, I'ts less funny lol. Obviously I took the picture in the mirror LOL
I started playing with Shrinky dinks for the first time since I was a kid today. I had planned to make these into Pins, but when they shrank smaller than i had anticipated I decied to make necklaces instead.
I traced the art for this from the inside of the second Aquarion DVD box. I even made the chain myself too from Chainmail links. It is Silvia and Apollo being all adorable. <3
So I was asked to be a Go Go dancer at this years Texas Industrial fest last week, and i had to come up with a really amazing out fit in a really short amound of time! This isen't my usual type os designing, but i had such a blast! I made pretty much everything save for the bra, corset and socks. LOL the hair falls where super fun too, I wanted to make them bigger but my own hair is so short i had a hard time keeping these on as it where! I hope to improve this outfit alot be the next time i wear it, but even as it is, I love it!
I love the red satin tails. I made them out of a old stained satin bedsheet I got from... jeeze I'm not even sure anymore. I put snaps inside the corset so they can be taken off or put on at any time!
As always, I've been reconning up a storm! I wanted to share a few of them here! ^^
A sack dress modeled by FluffyBaka! The red material is reconned from some really nice high thread count bed sheets i got for 99cents. And the Day of the Dead trim and pockets i bartered for from a friend! Its look so cute on her even though it so not my style! ^^
This skirt, modeled by my darling friend Hacked Ed, is made from a cloth shower curtain i bought many years ago when i lived in the barraks. the purple is also from a second hand bedsheet! I made a few in this same style, their so flowy and pretty! <3
Don't make you bed, WEAR IT! Cute JimJam set made from second hand bed sheets. I love how them! Modeled by FluffyBaka
I adore the way the hood came on on this one! <3
And just in case you feel the urge to have Kratos crawling on your clevage... LMPO
Happy Reconning! The possabilities are only as limited as your creativity!
So it's been made known to me I am not the only Dune-fag 'round these boards, so why hasn't there been a Dune swap? I have sooo many great ideas of things to make that are Dune related! There's so much to work with! Didn't know if there would be in an interested, so i thought i would throw it out there!!
Sort of a prototype. A friend at work gave me the idea, she wanted a purse to wear on her belt when she went to flipside and burning ma. This is what I came up with. Made out of a pillow case I got at Savers for 0.99! This is just the most basic version yet. I can't decide on closures, but i think big buttons are winning out over tie closures. what do you think?

So my friend's birthday is comming up, and I has no money, so im going to make her something. I want to make her a dress, but I dont have much practice sewing for plus sized. I have a pattern i used for myself, and planned to simply make it bigger to fit her. But i wonder if this cut is flattering on plus sized girls, so i came to the one place i knew i could get answers!
this is the pattern i have, i guess its a sackdress? IDK. I made one for me and she really likes it. If this is NOT a flattering cut, can someone suggest a tute maybe? she have a very bottom heavy shape. measurement 49-40-50 aprox. I love her and she fabulous, but needs some really fabulous clothes for her birthday! Thanks for the help!
My fiancee drives a mustang so i wanted to attempt to make a bikini in which to pose on his car in. This was my first attempt. It's not flawless, and the front looks a little funny, but it'll do for a fun photoshoot.
hope you like it! any input to improve on this idea would be great!
I want to make a hat similar to this one in shape (not so much the curvy edges but the basic sit and shape.) and i was wondering if any one had any good ideas? I was thinking of looking at the bra cup liners they sell at Joanne's as a basic mold, then cover it with fabric and go from there. Hat's aren't really something I've done much of, so any advice would be great. Oh, and it's going on a steampunk lolita im working on.
