I had thought about using the plastic bracelets to make some of these up, but I didn't know how well they would hold up in the washing machine. Any breakage issues?
Has anyone tried freezing lentil soup? I made a pot on Sunday, and they just kept on multiplying Honestly, I knew there would be a lot, but I didn't know it would be that THICK.
I haven't been keeping up like I should, but we are still working on eating from home and getting more than one meal out of any cooking projects we tackle. Sunday I took a leftover chunk of roast beef and the gravy I had made to go with it last weekend, thinned out the gravy with a little water and an marvelous product called "Better than Boullion" sliced up the rest of the roast beef and dropped it in the gravy to cook/reheat for a couple of hours. I threw in a handful of mushrooms from the freezer and put together some instant mashed potatoes to have with it. We got Sunday dinner out of it, and 3 work lunches. (one of which I had for breakfast this morning )
I like to make hash of of roast beef leftovers. Chop it up and add to some fried potatoes (I'll use packaged hash browns if I'm feeling too lazy to dice potatoes) add a little water to steam, and scramble some eggs to go with it. Depending on what's in the ice box that needs to be used up, I will fix up some flour tortillas and have hash tacos.
