A friend of our had a new baby yesterday and today we went to visit him for the first time. As everyone knows, you can't go see a new baby for the first time without taking a gift along of some sort !! So this morning I whipped these up before we left for the hospital.

Baby Chase's Mama was really happy with them and I hope he will be too ....cause every baby needs something cute to puke on LOL

This little guy is going to live in NC on Monday, but I had to share him. I made him based on a wist of a friend.

I used black shrinky dink, my couldn't live without it Cricut, and went to town. Just traced an octopus in my make the cut software, cut him out with the cricut and baked his little butt off Smiley

23  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Simple Bag :) on: March 11, 2011 07:29:08 PM
I did this bag for a friend in a swap here...haven't sent it out yet, will go out on Monday, sure hope she likes it !

Bag measures about 9" across on bottom and 12" on top, it closes with a magnetic snap and I put 3 small pockets inside.

This is my first bag of this size and the first time I tried using 2 different fabrics for the outside !!

25  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Denim Jeans Apron on: March 10, 2011 06:16:53 AM
So hubby and I are getting ready to move in the next few months and we have to somehow fit the contents of a LARGE 3 bedroom house into a small, itty bitty, 1 bedroom house ( think cottage ). We know this can't be done so we're starting to slowing weed thru things here and start downsizing so we're not overwhelmed at the last minute.

Tuesday we decided to tackle our closets....we found a few pair of brand new jeans in DH's closet that didn't fit him and we were going to toss out. Then I had a light bulb moment and said NOOOOOOOOOO ! I can't make something with those ! He just looked at me like I had 8 heads and said whatever Smiley

So I cut and sewed and added some awesome rhinestone bling and ended up with this apron Smiley Nothing fancy but I sure think it's cute !

26  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Pants for DGD #3 on: March 01, 2011 02:48:49 PM
I did these pants this morning for my youngest grand daughter.

I used a pair of her leggings as a pattern, just traced around them adding a good bit of allowance.

This pair could have been a bit longer, but they're fine since they're fleece and she won't wear them beyond another month or so before it's too warm

Ignore the thread strewn floor Sad I just moved my sewing machines to the other room and I haven't vacuumed up the mess in here yet LOL

And then this pair...well this pair I made from an old shirt of mine that I NEVER wear anymore

I have a few freebie files at the blog and am usually putting new ones up fairly regularly.

28  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Glass & Phone Case on: February 20, 2011 06:50:57 AM
I did a personal swap with giddiup22 a little while ago, and she had made me a Miami Dolphin purse for it. When she sent my package she sent the leftover dolphin fabric from the purse too. I've been sitting here looking at it wondering what to make with it and then it hit me Smiley

I needed a new case for my glasses and a new sleeve for my phone so that's what I made Smiley Now my little goodies that spend so much time in my purse coordinate with it !! YAY ME !
