:: About Me ::

* I live in PA currently with my hubby of 15 years and NONE of our 6 kids ! woooot, they all moved out finally ! and 2 goldfish that belong to our youngest granddaughter !
* In the next few months hubby and I are packing up the VW Bus ( my mini van ) and hitting the road to live in sunny FL
* I'm a huge football fan - love my Miami Dolphins
* I collect dolphins, anything dolphin makes me happy
* Non smoking, no pet household ( other than the goldfish of course )
* My fave colors are pink, brown, red, green, and blue
* I don't much care for animal prints, I do enjoy paisely prints, skulls, and of course dolphin prints or mermaid, sea themed prints - Hubby & I both love nature, some of our favorite animals are wolves, dolphins, manatees, opossums, arctic fox.
* I like things that are useful. I'm not real big on "knick knack" type stuff - at least right now. Don't want to have to drag more with us than we have to when we move
* I love to read. Mostly I read crime, mystery, and true crime novels. Now and then an occasional thriller. I have a Pandigital Novel eReader/tablet and LOVE IT !

Cheesy Good plan Dawl! Perhaps I should try that ... "but it's only ONE shipping container-full! ONE!"

My hubby is funny, he indulges me with buying creative gifts like a super-nice easel, and an adjustable dressform, but he has a real aversion to the clutter that goes along with using them! He hates clutter!

that's pretty much my hubby's issue too, the clutter that comes with it all. In a room that I can close the door to, he never sees it so it never bothers him...but now I'm in the living room LOL this is gonna be FUN Wink and yeah...when we move I all ready informed I'll be needing my own Pod or Uhaul ubox for my craft room. I thought he was going to faint !

My honey doesn't care how much craft stuff I have.

Mine wouldn't either, and doesn't for the most part....but I'm not sure you realize how serious my issues are LOL

I drag DH to Joanns and Michaels all the time with me and let's put it this way, he's tickled pink when the bill at the register is 50.00 or less LOL

He sees it all come into the house in small bursts yanno, I'm just not sure he's prepared to see it in all it's glory at one time. He usually avoids my craft room like the plague Wink 32 milk crates full of fabric came out of the craft room today. I should put it in large rubbermaid bins, it will sound like less Wink

My youngest is due to graduate on the 9th, I'm still crossing my fingers that he passes ! LOL

4 hours into the move and still have only 1/2 my stuff moved out Sad the worst part is that now I'll be in the living room there's no way to hide from DH exactly how much stuff I have !! LOL

On a crafty note...I've been evicted ! From my craft room....AGAIN Sad

Today I'm moving once again. This time to the back corner of the living room since I've outgrown the laundry room. KIDS !! See why you shouldn't have kids Huh They come home and kick you out of your craft room !

We're moving to FL at the end of summer as most of you know, and heathen spawn #4 and his GF decided they wanted our house when we leave, so they're moving back in NOW...yanno, so they can save money for the next couple months till we leave. I love my kids, I love my kids, I love my kids....I must repeat this over and over to myself because along with heathen spawn #4 is the GF and the one grand who's 2.5 - Yes, not only am I being thrown out of my craft room, I will have a toddler living here for the next 4 months. I'm way too old to have a toddler around 24/7 ! LOL

Oh and my claim for padfoot is coming along nicely Smiley WEEE GO ME ! Might even ship it tomorrow !

I applaud anyone who is brave enough to stand up and say "I'm just not cut out to have kids" ...there's so much pressure to have them all around and it takes a big person to hold their ground and not have them !

My aunt has no children, and she has a very happy and fulfilled life. Her logic was why bother having her own when she could borrow us anytime she wanted over the years Wink What's really ironic is that I'm far closer to her than I am my mother...so in a way she did have kids, she just managed to avoid all the headaches, hassles, diapers, potty training, and teenage years LOL

I love kids, in fact I babysit all the time, but I am so happy that at the end of the day I am only taking one of the kids home with me:)

It's even better when you become a Grand and take NONE of them home with you Wink

I babysit all 4 of the grands about 6 days a week, oooh man, I love them all to death, but damn am I happy when I see their mothers coming thru the door in the afternoon LOL

I watch that show and trust me it doesn't glamorize it!

I guess glamorize was the wrong word...I know they show that it's not easy, but the mere fact that some girl somewhere might think "oh cool, if I have a baby I might be able to get on TV" just goes thru me !

I was 15 when I had my oldest, got married at 15...and had my youngest at 23. I'm definitely done Wink 1,000% sure ! LOL

Would a layer of wool work?

I would think wool would work yes Smiley I can't see why it wouldn't. Instead of the cotton batting. You definitely want to use the insulbright though Smiley
