11  Crochet Wire Necklaces :) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Dawl on: April 27, 2011 04:21:48 PM
Ok, I saw these a little while ago and HAD to make them...they are soooo pretty ! I was amazed at how easy they are to do and how stunning they look when finished.

First up is a wide variety of glass beads...all shapes, sizes, and colors. I think it looks great with the randomness it has.

Next is the one I did on black artists wire using pink and gray dyed fresh water pearls. I'm in love with this one, big time.

I just did a basic single chain crochet 3 times then braided the crocheted strands together Smiley Easy Peasy !!

LOL I adore it and she too, is now on my wall with the other hooplas Smiley She also sent me some neat fabrics and ribbon....oooh now I just need to decide what to make with it all Smiley Thank you Lindy...you're a sweetheart and I love it all !

Last, but certainly not least is from YumJello !! ZOMG ! An awesome hide with a croc finish....I just keep smelling it, I love the smell of leather, have no idea what to make with it yet....hmmmm, a flogger perhaps ? Or something more mainstream ? ! Ooh I know, maybe a purse ! Anyway...this is a huge pile of fabrics, I couldn't even get them all in the pic. the leather hide is on the lower left....it's gorgeous Smiley Thanks sooooo much YumJello !

Ok, these were just too awesome not to share LOL These are the 6 prints I came home with today. Also got 3 yards of denim and 3 yards of basic black Smiley

The skully fabric in this shot is for DGD #1 - her "Easter Outfit" - meaning I'm making each of them a summer shirt and either skirt or shirts and giving it to them for Easter ( along with 10 pounds of chocolate lol ) - yeah, this so isn't going to be her church outfit for Easter Sunday LOL

Yeah it's ok, you can ooooh and ahhh over these two, I did !! DH found them and showed them to me ( silly man ) he had to know they were going home with me !! Dunno what I'm doing with them yet, heck I might just hoard them just so I can take them out and look at them now and then lol

Fabric on the left - tropical w/ dolphins is for DGD #2 for her Easter outfit. She takes after me, she's a dolphin lover so she'll LOVE an outfit with this fabric.

17  Some New Pendants :) in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by Dawl on: April 17, 2011 10:21:55 AM
Just a few new pendants I pulled out of the kiln this morning !

Up first is : "Quod Me Nutrit, Me Destruit" - That which nourishes me, also destroys me. Love this pendant, I think the blue streaky glass looks so nice.

Next we have a 3 tone blue pendant with a pretty spring flower fused into the glass

Pink & Purple Sunset Smiley The calm before the storm

Kanji "Love" symbol - Earrings and pendant to match. Use dichroic clear glass on this one, it really gives the pieces a holographic, 3 dimensional look.

Close up so you can see the depth better

Hope you like them as much as I do. I almost hate when they come out so "just like I pictured" LOL It makes it hard to part with them !

Atsuko claimed me for a mystery box of fabric !! oooooh did she deliver Smiley I love it, and my DGD #3 put her stamp of approval on each cut as it came out of the box by declaring "ooooooooooooooooooo ooooh, it's sooooooooo pretty"

Thanks Rox ! We love it Smiley and will be making a few cute summer dresses out of part of it you can be sure. Morgan sort of claimed her faves immediately lol

19  Sewing w/ the Grandkids !! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Dawl on: April 10, 2011 07:55:07 AM
Had all 4 grandkids yesterday ( 7, 5, 2, & 2 ) it was a joy to try and sew with them LOL ( insert sarcasm here )

They all wanted shirts...except DGD #3 she wanted an entire outfit !

We got 2 of the 4 done and will do the other 2 today if my nerves and patience holds on long enough Smiley

First up is DGD #3 and her outfit.

The shirt - tshirt pattern, did rolled hem on the sleeves and the ruffles on the bottom. Giraffe applique using the same giraffe fabric as the sleeves and ruffles.

The pants - took a pair of DH's pants that didn't fit and just used the legs to cut the pattern that I made from another pair of her pants. Added the giraffe ruffles at the hem.

She's freshly potty trained so rather than mess around with zippers and buttons on the pants I just did them pull up to make bathroom runs easier for her Smiley

Next is DGD #1 - same tshirt pattern and methods, just different fabrics.

Modeling shot - I did a size 8 for her, but next time will definitely go with the 9. She's built real solid and beefy, I hate this this just "looks" small even though it's really not tight.

They had both just gotten out of bed, I made them model before they ran off and got their clothes dirty LOL

Please excuse the messy sewing/craft room. We were creating...not cleaning Smiley

20  Embroidered Horse Shirt in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Dawl on: April 09, 2011 10:19:39 AM
I did this shirt last night for a personal swap I'm doing with KaoticKrafter, this is for her daughter. Used a basic t'shirt pattern I bought on Etsy. Size 5 - rolled hem on the sleeves and then I thought the length was just a tad short so I took an old adult t'shirt and used the bottom of it for a ruffle and neck on this one. Machine embroidered horse..and yeah I tried to put a tag in it, but well, I sort of put it in upside down so I just cut it out LOL
