1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: TUTORIAL for a beginner quilt!! MANY pics on: February 17, 2012 02:12:02 PM
You've made my quilts less wonky and I love you for it. Smiley

Thanks for the well wishes- we currently have one kid with a stomach bug and the other on antibiotics for strep throat (The poor kid has missed 28 days of school this school year due to strep and stomach bugs despite being on immune support vitamins and multivitamins, being active and eating healthy and myself scrubbing the house down constantly and replacing toothbrushes every week or so and keeping up with dispensing antibiotics at the proper times ((along with allergy meds for one and asthma and allergy meds for the other)), so it's been a little crazy.  We're hoping that this stops soon.  We had two weeks where they were both not sick and then the fevers started again.  They love the hats, though! Smiley  Thanks again!

I love it!!  I've recently been bitten by the quilting bug and I know how much blood, sweat, tears and love go into each one and she did such a wonderful job!!  Something you can really treasure for a lifetime!

First, you did an awesome job!! I love them!! And second, I am so glad that you posted this!!  My kids have been sick on and off the past two months, so trying to make anything for them for Christmas has been insane, trying to fit it in and stay awake at the same time.  Thanks to your post, I was able to print off the pattern and whip up two hats in no time.  They are going to love them.  Thank you soooo much!

Thanks!  I know it's a bit wonky, but it was also one of my first quilts.

Fixed it.  It was because it was one of my wall photos and I had super security on those due to a person stalking me.  I put it into one of my albums and now it comes up.  Let me know if you have any other problems. Thanks! Smiley

Are you logged into facebook already when you click on the link?  I tried getting into my account and clicking on the link and it worked.  But when I was logged out of facebook and tried clicking on the link, it wouldn't come up.
8  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Atticus' birthday quilt (he picked all the materials!) on: November 18, 2011 01:30:41 PM
My son, Atticus,  was turning 5 last year and wanted an owl quilt.  I took him to the store and he picked out all the material for the piecework.  This was my first time using binding on a blanket, so it was an experience. Smiley  For the back, I used a new twin sized jersey flat sheet that was part of a set on clearance while I was looking for something for the back.  We were running low on funds, his birthday is two weeks before Christmas. Atticus adores it. He is snuggled with it right now (he's almost 6 and has had strep throat twice in the past 3 weeks, poor guy!)
9  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Quilt for a little cousin of my husband's on: November 18, 2011 01:24:31 PM
We were invited to the birthday party of one of my husband's cousins, who was turning 3.   Anyway, I wanted to do something special for her birthday, despite the fact that we wouldn't be attending.  I bought her a couple of cute outfits, a couple of little toys and then I made a quilt for her. I dropped it off at my mother-in-laws the day before her party for her to bring.  It's one of my first quilts and a bit wonky, but she loved it. I used zebra print fleece for the backing and batting in one.

Did you use a pattern for the overalls?  If so, which one?
