1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Dr Who Purse on: December 29, 2011 07:23:11 PM
Confession--I'm not really a huge fan of Dr Who. I've watched a few times, but that's about it. However, my sister loves it. So, come Christmas time, what's a crafty sister to do?

No pattern, I just sort of "winged it".

I made it large enough to hold her Kindle, and another book, which is a useful thing for a librarian.

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Recycled 2 pairs of jeans and a few buttons - Upcycled crocheted bag! on: August 16, 2011 06:12:02 PM
This is really cool!  How wide did you cut the strips of denim?  I love the bag.

Stop fighting, break out the stencils and go for it. This one looks great.
5  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Brick Wall quilt - recycled denim on: May 24, 2011 07:55:46 PM
This is great. I've been trying to figure out a way to do something for my husband with his various fire department patches. This is an inspiration!

This is a great quilt.  Congrats on finishing one for yourself!
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Start of Summer Skirt on: May 17, 2011 06:02:21 PM
Very nice. Fun, but very professional.  Congrats on your graduation and best of luck in the new career!
8  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Barbed wire (miles and miles of it) on: April 27, 2011 08:17:03 PM
I have access to barbed wire, literally miles and miles of it--a by-product of re-fencing the family ranch.  It is rusty and some of it is somewhat brittle.   I can take it to a recycler, but I keep think there must be something crafty to do with it? Any ideas?
9  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Triple Rail Fence Quilt on: April 19, 2011 05:23:53 PM
This is great. It may be a little busy, but the colors are great and the fabric seems really whimsical. I love it. Anyone who takes on a quilting project with all the patience and precision involved gets my admiration!
