Hellllooooo! The first Dalek Girl dress was so well-received, I decided to make a tutorial. And once the "new" Daleks were revealed in Season 5, I couldn't resist!

Here are some photos.. go to my website to see the tutorial video! (It's my first video, be kind! Smiley) CHEERS!

Made my Yukata (summer kimono basically) for Aki Matsuri Festival held in Dallas, TX. It's basically a festival celebrating the coming of Fall!

I made everything, from the yukata to the belt to the obi! Smiley Hope you like it as much as I did!

3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Alice Nine's Shou on canvas on: May 13, 2010 07:19:53 AM
Hey~ I painted this picture of Shou from the J-Rock band Alice Nine for my best friend for Christmas. She is in LOVE with him and we've devised a plan to get them to meet and marry.. BUT ANYWAYS.. on to my painting.. I hadn't painted anything 2-3 years prior to this and was skeptical as to whether I was going to be able to pull it off but, it turn out pretty good (I had a poster bookmarked to purchase if I failed miserably). Done with oils. Cheesy

Here goes:

The original:

It looks a bit anime style but.. I'm not great at translating humans on canvas so.. ahhaha... Smiley

Heya! I've been waiting to add a post for a while now and recently, finished a costume for SciFi Expo that was in Richardson, TX. At the behest of Lilybet85, I am now posting this up! Hope y'all enjoy!!

The Dalek inspiration from Doctor Who (LOOOOVE that show!):

I didn't take pictures making it in the beginning because I was so crunched for time!

Hot gluing the half spheres on..

And how it turned out...

Ta da!!
5  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / How to paint rubber toe on Converse??? on: April 14, 2010 06:51:26 AM
I bought acrylic paint and fabric medium as well as sealer for a shoe project - I haven't started painting yet because I'm not sure how well the acrylic is going to hold to the rubber portion... anyone know what I should use?? Is acrylic OK?
