I got the most awesome package from ChrissyCrafts, she definately took my coffee theme and ran with it (as well as my science nerd theme in a very ammusing not she wrote me about this guy).  Meet Dr. Bean, he's like the Jeckyl and Hyde of coffee shops.  He was a scientist who altered his DNA to include coffee and in a life altering event he turned into what you see here:

He is now wanted by every government agency for his scientific discoveries so it is now my task to keep him underground.  He is a master of disguise in order to keep himself from being captured:

While he isn't inventing or running from the government he enjoys the simple thing in life such as a delicious breakfast:

Dr. Bean is really very energetic and I just never know where I'm going to find him:

Thank you ChrissyCrafts, this is really great, I've been having such a fun time Cheesy

7  Re: Wist Swap October 2010 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by GlinkS1063 on: December 07, 2010 06:12:50 PM
YAY!!!! I got my package, after much anticiapation and a bit of worry from all parties that the hard work of nilmerg was lost somewhere in the mail between Austrailia and the states, I received (much to my delight) on Monday this week!

The items nilmerg crafted are all beautiful, probably better than the items from my wists!!!  So here we go, first up is a set of "addict" coffee cup cozies, one to fit to my coffe cup and one to fit to my daughter's juice cup Cheesy  they are both adjustable (very nice touch) and super looking, the stitching looks professional!!

Blair enjoying her new cup cozy:

up next, almost an exact replica of the wisted flower pillow cover, this thing is awesome!  looks great on my chair as well Cheesy

and finally, my favorite item, a counted cross stitch caffeine molecule...it looks great, very crisp, i was so impressed!  now i just need to decide where to hang my hoop collection Cheesy

I just want to send a HUGE thank you to nilmerg for the awesome projects you made for me, I love them all, this is probably one of the best swaps I've done!  Thank you for what was obviously a lot of hard work Cheesy

8  Re: big earring explosion swap gallery in The Swap Gallery by GlinkS1063 on: October 19, 2010 12:11:32 PM
I got two packages in my mail this week!!!!  It was terriffic to open both and go through all 12 (erm, 13) pair of earrings in one sitting, I probably spent a good 45 minutes trying a pair on, modleing for myself in the mirror and then snapping pics for you all to see, so without further ado, PICTURES, L.O.T.S. of pictures!!!

I opened first from Michelle (Weet!):
 6 + 1 Bonus Cheesy

the "mismatched pair"  love them, they are totally my style!

really like these ones, they have a large white disk with a lotus flower on it (hard to see from the pic):

blurry but awesome, I feel so artsy with these on:

delicate little blossom earrings:

blurry again (oops) totally cool!

Love these ones, they are probably my favorite...birds with a small leaf:

And last but not least, very cool, BIG blue/white/silver danglys:

Next I opened from Yoshi (darkangelwingz):

blurry yet again (sorry) these are beautiful "windowpane" with flower beading, very cute:

Probably one of my favorites from the group, almost an exact copy from my Wists, these awesome tree earrings:

(I'm thinking of doing a set for myself with the "seasons")

Really cool shell leaf and hoop earrings, these are big and beautiful!!

I wore these today and got tons of compliments...did you paint/stamp them yourself?

These are great, so big and dangly, I love them:

And finally the awesome varigated autumnal shell earring, I will be wearing these a lot!

Thank you to Michelle and Yoshi for the beautiful and creative earrings you both made for me, I can't wait to wear them all!  You are both gems and I really appreciate the time and tallent you put into making these goodies for me Cheesy

9  Can't be a candy queen without the royal shoes! in Halloween Costumes by GlinkS1063 on: October 14, 2010 10:05:30 PM
I took A LOT of inspiration from Katy Perry for this Halloween's costume and wanted to post pics of the shoes I just completed...I am so pleased with how they turned out Cheesy  1 pair of shoes + 2 sticks of hot glue + 1 package of candy buttons + 4 burned fingertips + 2 hours of tedious button/paper removal = the best accessory for costume imaginable!!!

Here is the inspiration; the shoes Katy Perry wore in the "Caliornia Gurl" video.  I was just working with shoes I already own instead of buying new...i kind of enjoy the red on mine though!!!

I will be posting pics of the whole ensemble soon, it's still a work in progress Cheesy

Questions and Comments are welcome, THANK YOU for looking!!!

10  Re: Inchie Secrets Gallery in The Swap Gallery by GlinkS1063 on: October 10, 2010 10:30:51 PM
I got my very last sets of inchies in the mail this weekend  Undecided  it was great to get these secrets in the mail every few days for the past couple weeks and I love the collection I have accumulated!  The two sets I received this time around were from "ehinders" and "distant_twilight"...thank you both, they are wonderful...here are the pics:

from ehinders, so cool, I just love these ones, the hate heart is my favorite:

and from distant_twilight, these are so vibrant and beautiful, hard to pick a favorite, either the blue one in the l.l. corner or the flower in the center:

Since this is my first round of swapping for inchies I don't have any very original plans for my inchies.  I am thinking about just framing them but thought I would get some feedback to see what you all think (I would place them much straighter/neater, this was just to get an idea);

something like this:

or a little less busy:

Thank you to everyone for the beautiful work you all did, I am so pleased with my first inchies swap!
