2  Mint Green Outfit in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by cccaryyy on: April 02, 2006 11:02:10 PM
yay i'm finally posting something again! =p

i made a skirt to go with a corset i got to wear to my spring ball (which is like any other school's winter formal, except ours was in the spring this year =p)

i used a pastel-ly green chiffon- like stuff.  i'm not exactly sure what it was, i bought it from a little mexican store =p
very hard to work with.  i originally wantet something ruffly but i only had a day left so this if what i did instead =p
it's just one of those square circle skirts,  i used two layers and it was still see through so i wore an old white skirt i made before under it.
too bad you can still sorta see through it =(

here's a sideview!

i made a matching clutch here

thanks for looking =D

5  POLKA HEARTED..? in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by cccaryyy on: December 06, 2005 07:50:47 PM
Homecoming dress done in 2 or 3 days   Grin

finished an hour before the dance and i still wasn't done.  i tucked in the interfacing at the edges rather than sewing them down... but i think i did pretty good right? =)
it was a burda young fashion pattern.  8174

i was going for a 50's look but i think i was sorta off =p  it's not exactly polka dotted because the tiny dots are actually hearts... so would that be polka-hearted..??

8  denim duffel bag using Lia's tutorial in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by cccaryyy on: July 19, 2005 07:33:38 PM
i made a duffel bag for my friend because we only ever saw ones that were too big and all we would wanna hold in there was a set of clothes for practice and maybe a water bottle and a pair of shoes.
i used Lia's tutorial found here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=7290
it's pretty rockin =)  thank you LIA!

i used dark blue denim, which was pretty thick and stiff already so i didn't need any interfacing =)

the bag when it's stuffed:

and the bag when it's open:

9  pink halter dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by cccaryyy on: July 18, 2005 04:23:45 PM
sooo i made this dress sometime last month to wear to my friends' graduations  Cool
i did it the night before and it probably took me around 6 or 7 hours... i can't really remember... but it's really shoddy work and the seams are coming apart in some places... but it never fell apart on me! haha =p
i used pink jersey knit fabric that i got for a dollar a yard =)  and i used the whole yard on this dress.
i sorta thought the material would be stretchier than it really was so the dress is sorta hard to get into...
i tried to make a sorta drop waist thing but it just looks as if i didn't have a sufficient amount of fabric.. but the top part is where i cut it too small and had to piece more fabric onto it.  oh yeah and i didn't hem it or anything... =p
but hurray for the 6 or 7 hour dress! Grin  my second dress ever!

10  Re: Arg...I need help making the circle/square skirt thing...I'm a moron... in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by cccaryyy on: May 21, 2005 12:12:19 PM
all you have to do is cut a circle that has the circumference of your waist into the center of a square piece of fabric.

and you can make a casing in the circle for elastic or sew the circle into a waistband.

hope this helps =)
