1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Year of Homemade Gifts Craftalong 2012-2013 on: December 26, 2012 06:06:17 PM
I have not been doing a good job of keeping up with this thread.  There is some great stuff here!

So Oct I made my nephews rocket packs for their birthdays.

And for Christmas, I made 2 of my nephews an Angry Bird set.
Blue Bird Bean Bags.

Angry Bird Hats. Black Bird and Yellow Bird.

Pigs and rocks. (Please excuse my beat-up chair)

And the obligatory receiving photo:

Here's the start of my list:

                    - Gifts - 4 Rocket Packs for nephews & Necklace for niece

Halloween - Costumes for Hubby, me, and kids.  I think we're doing World of Warcraft, if my daughter
                  doesn't change her mind, again.
                   -Warlock costume
                   -Rogue costume
                   - Imp costume (The Warlock's "demon")
                   - Baby Murloc (A sort of Fish-Man)

November:

Dad's birthday - No idea.  He does leather working.

December:

Mom's Birthday - Hoop (the one she was supposed to get last year!) and something else

Christmas - PJs for me, hubby and the kids
               - Stockings for family
Daughter   - Playmat for My Little Ponies, Felt Food, Chalkboard Mat
Son         - Robot costume, big bean bag, Chalkboard Mat, Finger Paint,

I drew my sister for our Christmas gift giving.
                - 5 yr old son - Black Angry Bird Hat
                - 3 yr old son - Yellow Angry Bird Hat
                - Pig Pillow  (I'm also giving her those cardboard bricks so they can
                                 play Angry Birds.)
                - Card bowls (one Christmas and one everyday) using a tute I have
                        bookmarked here

I think that's all, not counting the cookies / treats for Christmas get together.
3  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Latest News / Re: 09/07/12 - You can now upload images directly into your post! on: September 07, 2012 02:29:50 PM
I want to see how easy this is now....

That was pretty easy.

This is a present for my niece for her birthday.  Now I can post it to a thread!  Yay!!

I am very excited about this feature!

Bookstorebabe - A mug rug would go nicely with that too.

I, 2kids2craft4, do hereby pledge to make homemade gifts for 2012-2013, whether or not they are appreciated!   Tongue

I've heard whispers of a new photo upload system, so hopefully that won't be too far in the future and I can post more pictures. (I keep having issues with uploading, I feel like I'm on dial-up!)
6  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Re: Craftster Photo-hosting Wishlist? on: June 29, 2012 04:49:46 PM
One of the reasons I post so few photos is that it is so difficult to post them.  I always think of them while I'm posting, so then I have to leave the post, go to the photo uploader, fight with it for an hour or so, get frustrated and give up. (The acting like it's loading then a white screen is what I get too with more than 1 photo.)

So I agree that the ability to post directly to a thread would be awesome.  Also a drag and drop in the photo upload section would be sweet!

Thanks, pollyprissypants!

I hadn't posted the pictures of my Fall Birthday stuff or Halloween, so I thought I'd do that.

Halloween:

Sunflower - She was dressed in green and I made felt leaves for her shoes. Please excuse my tired, cranky model.

Pea shooter -  It's attached to a headband, but turned out a little heavy.  Plus my 2 yr old wanted nothing to do with it.  He was also dressedin green with leaves on his shoes.  Hubby and I were zombies.

Fall Birthdays:

I made part of the goody bags. The paper cones and popcorn balls were made by me (and a big hit too!)

October boys presents (there are 3 nephews with Oct. B-days)

I looked everywhere for ideas and couldn't find a single homemade fabric treasure map.  So then I just looked at maps and made up my own.

For my niece:

There were 2 different Craftster posts with tutorials for this one.  I kind of followed one, then just did what looked good, since I didn't have a large length of fabric.

For my Nov Nephew:

A dino hood.  I also sewed him a little bag to put his trains in, but it's horrible, so no photos.  Tongue

And I was commissioned by his mom to make him a playmat:

All my own design.

I think that's all the ones I forgot to post!

Now to see if I can finish more Christmas items!!
