I needed a little bit of bright happy Spring because this snow is ridiculous! I had both the silk flowers and foam wreath in stash! Now I just have to find my wreath hook Smiley

Help!!! I was just going through a tote and I found several centerpieces I made for my friend's baby shower and bags of purple rose petals that have already been used at two weddings and the same baby shower! What the heck should I do with them?! I feel like they keep multiplying!

I also found big pieces of felt I was going to use to make an indoor hopscotch with but my friend's daughter has since grown out of that phase.

I finished a project today for a family baby shower. This quote is an inside joke with my family. The wife of the one who said it is having a boy so it had to be done. I blurred out the name just in case someone happens to stumble across this before she gets it. It's hard to tell but the background is a sage green and the font is a deep brown.

I haven't done this in a few years but I'm in this year. I already have a few WIPs that need to be finished!

I'm pretty sure I've been crafting for as long as I can remember. My Mom and Grandma were always knitting, crocheting and sewing. We still have my Grandma's fliptop sewing machine that I'd love to get working again. It's what I learned to sew on.

WIP:

*Yoyo pillow
*Cross-stich bibs
*Gabby's memory box
*Reclaimed Whiskey Barrel tray

Ideas:

*"Shake it" print
*Lily baby gift
*Lily PJ pants (adjustable waist) (were supposed to be for Christmas)
*Guy PJ pants (were supposed to be for Christmas)
*Personalize photo albums
*Something with the clear plastic ornaments I got on clearance
*Repair broken bracelet
*Paint glass jar
*Recover cat pole

*Make cat back scratcher

I'm sure there is a LOT more but I'm drawing a blank. I blame the snow/fog outside my window! I'm going to go back and look at my old lists, too.

8  Ganta Igarashi - Deadman Wonderland in Costumes: Discussion and Questions by DncingDreamer on: January 27, 2013 09:46:41 AM
So my nephew decided that for Christmas & his birthday he wanted me to sew him a costume for Anime Boston. Of course, it's not something commonly found that I could just put together. It looks like it would be a simple enough pattern to put together but making a pattern is definitely not my strong suit. It's pretty much a jumpsuit and a collar. Any suggestions besides just buying the costume since it's about $125?

Finally got a realllllllly old WIP done. I've been wanting to turn old candle tarts/votives and large candle jar lids into regular candles for at least 8 years. Today I finally did it! Yay!

And I finished a frame I wanted to decorate for a wedding present.

Alright, I'm getting back in the swing of craftiness. Life had to go and get in the way, darn it! lol

Here are some projects I've done since I've been MIA.

Made a bunch of these to try to sell at a craftfair with my sister-in-law. Didn't sell one so guess what a lot of people are getting for gifts this year! lol

Made these when I was getting sick of seed beads from the bangles. I made a bunch more but the niece scoffed them before I could take pictures.

Not sure what I'm doing with this yet. Pattern is UrbanThreads.

This is a bag and bookmark I made for a girl at work that just retired. I made the bag awhile ago but I just made the bookmark.

Back of bookmark:

Made a couple of fabric roses out of scrap last night. Not sure what I'm doing with them yet.

Edit: And my poor black and gray dress I was going to rework got accidentally cut up by my niece! I had the top and bottom taken apart and in my fabric pile. While I was at a concert she asked if anything in the pile was fair game to make scarfs, etc. I said yes, forgetting the dress was in there...the skirt is now an asymmetrical mini with two loop scarves...BLARGH! I'm thinking I may be able to save it with some black rickrack or lace over where I'm going to try to sew it back together. Thank goodness it was only a $5 Salvation Army find!
