1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Cavepunk/Taxidermy Couture Necklaces! on: November 17, 2011 09:10:08 AM
Check out my new stuff =]
I call the theme CavePunk (like steampunk but stone-age and post apocalyptic hehe)
I call the necklace line Taxidermy Couture =]

Beautiful vintage chains and beads all brought together with 2 real raccoon jawbones! And a vertebrae. All bone pieces are sanitary, clean and bleached.

The first necklace.

And the second necklace!

2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / First Mug Rug on: November 06, 2011 12:01:48 PM
Wasnt sure where to post this but since its quilted this section seems adequate.

My first mug rug, and i think I have possibly caught the addiction of them! I am already planning my next.
Took me about 2 hours total with breaks and such.
Crappy cell phone photos, but you can still see it pretty well =] Might replace the photos later with ones from my actual camera.

Please keep in mind I am not a quilter at all! So dismiss my sloppy quilting skills =P

Alright here are the photos!

And with my teapot and cup on it =]

This one I did for the I <3 Autumn swap, just something simple.

And this one I also did for the same personal swap with the fox one in it =]

And here is the first one I made =] Decked out in my favorite season theme.

5  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Shawl/Sweater/Scarf Pin! on: October 31, 2010 05:45:43 PM
I have only made one so far =] But being an avid sculptor I am always looking for fun new projects, I saw someone make shawl pins out of clay! I of course borrowed the idea and put my own spin on it =] And here is the result! There will be more to come because i think they are just so cute! And it goes great in my sweater =]

All Polymer clay, I used a bamboo skewer for the pin part.

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Cute Craft Apron! In Progress on: July 30, 2010 09:45:44 PM
So I just came up with this tonight =] Im sure some of you have seen my Vendor's apron i made with the bill and change pockets, but i need a craft apron! So I did this just this evening! It does not yet have any pockets on it, i just got all tuckered out before i could get to the pockets lol =P So I might add them this weekend, im just having a hard time deciding what fabric or color/pattern to use for the pockets and what style the pockets should be and how many, etc... haha.
Anyway here are pictures!

Lol who ever said skinny girls cant have booty, has never met me ;] jeans are big on me and baggy but you can see what my momma gave me right? haha XD

Seriously I do have a booty, I just like the comfort of loose jeans =]
8  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / First Quilt and Applique Attempt! on: June 20, 2010 12:14:59 AM
So its my first time making a quilt =] Im just starting on it and haven't gotten very far because i don't know how i want the rest to look just yet.
So here is the story:

my boyfriend had to move back home to California (I live in Washington) He couldnt take me with because he couldnt financially support us both. So while he is getting established in Cali, i am up here taking a 9 month Culinary course at Le Cordon Bleu college of culinary arts, so that i am able to better support myself individually before i go down so i can help support us. We are going to be apart for a long time, its going to be hard, So instead of dwelling on my loneliness and aching heart im focusing all those feelings of love i have, into making my boyfriend a quilt covered with all his interests and likes and favorite colors (Teal and brown and bright blue) Its going to take me a while to complete because i want to applique and embroider a lot of the squares, but if i finish it in time for his birthday i will be mailing it to him =] If i can raise the money needed to get a plane ticket to visit, then im giving it to him in person so i can see the look on his face =] I really want to give it to him in person, but if i have to mail it i will, because i do not work =[ so no income, which makes coming up with the cash for a plane ticket near impossible, but im determined! I will do what i have to so i dont have to go the full 9 months without seeing him at least once. He doesnt know im making this for him =] I cant wait to finish it!
As a side note, i have put in my Signature that im looking for teal and brown fabric to help finish my quilt ;] So PM if you can help!

Ok so now About the quilt.
So far i have used a beautiful teal, black and white damask fabric, and a pretty blue patterned fabric, the middle fabric and black and white, i thought it kind of looked like a starry sky, For the tree applique i would have used a less busy fabric, but its all i had in brown, the moon is from a lovely gold fabric i really wish i would have bought more of =] it was on clearance now its gone =[
I will be embroidering a darkish brown around the tree and a gold around the moon =] For the blue squares im thinking of doing white musical notes, the boyfriend is a musician.

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Camera Strap cover. on: May 27, 2010 11:54:09 PM
I also did not know where to put this =X it kind of goes here i think.

My boyfriends favorite type of art are those japanese style waves, and his favorite colors are blues, teals, and brown together.
He needed a camera strap cover so i whipped this up real quick,
Im thinking about re-doing it and quilting it like i did with the guitar strap i put on here, it would look better.

The stitching looks array and crooked in the photos but its strait i promise =] just the way im holding the strap, which was still attached to the camera, just too lazy to take it apart and put it back on again.

One side is teal/blue japanese style waves, the other side he picked out too, some pretty goldish designed fabric i love! It was on clearance when i got it and i only got a half yard, now its gone =[ they dont have any more.

Anyway photos!

10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Guitar strap Cover w/Pocket on: May 27, 2010 11:42:21 PM
Ok so I didnt know exactly where to put this =] It has a pocket on it so i Figure why not put it here!?

My boyfriend graciously (and sometimes with complaints and grumbles) goes to the local Joann's fabric store with me =] He may grumble sometimes, but he's always impressed with what i make, especially if its for him ;] lol

So we were in Joann's and its one of those days that he's less than happy to be there as i putt around the fabric section.
But as he gets bored enough to look at fabrics with me, he spots this beautiful Teal,Blue, white, dark brown fabric and falls in love lol.
This fabric was $6 a yard, i usually dont buy anything over $4 a yard as i shop in the clearance fabric since its what i can afford. But i looked at it and said "I can make you a guitar strap cover out of that" and it was sold!
I ended up getting a yard and a half, WAY more than what i needed for a guitar strap cover, but i liked the fabric too ;]
And I had a 40% off coupon to help knock down the price to make it worth it.

I finished the strap wednesday and let him come home from work to it, he loves it =] I even put a "Pick pocket" on the end of the cover so he can store piks on it. And I also quilted the whole thing =]
The next step is to make some modifications such as velcro on the pocket so the picks dont fall out.

Pics! It goes perfect with his Vintage Ibanez blazer =] (guitar)
