1  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Cage Tags! on: August 08, 2011 07:18:24 PM
I've been working on cage tags for my (meat)rabbits. Their information can be written on the cards to help me stay organized. A few holes will be punched in the top of them and they will be hung on the cage doors where the rabbit's can't reach them.

I'm happy with how they turned out...cute and handy!

2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / What sewing machine is right for me? on: January 08, 2011 03:04:48 AM
I am a total beginner to sewing, so I would like a very basic machine, but one that will do what I need. It will mostly be used for sewing together paracord which is a pretty thick, sturdy material. I want to make sure whatever I get can hold up to it. I don't have a huge budget (Would like to stay under 150$) as this is my first and would like to grow... get something more advanced in the future.

From what I have read, apparently you can't go wrong with a Brother but because what I'm doing right now is so specific I want some input from others based on my individual needs and maybe get some ideas of specific models to look into.

Thanks:D
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / A Rad Gecko Hide :D on: December 08, 2010 06:07:53 PM
This is something I've been wanting to try for a while... I always see rolled magazine items at stores going for a ton of money (and they are pretty cute!) so I made one of my own for my baby geckos (;

The rolls are a bit raggedy but it's my first one. It was a lot of fun to make and I will for sure be using this technique for future projects! The base is a frosting can and I used hot glue.

(lol the string of glue)

This is my first post so I had to link to the pictures instead of imbedding them ): Sorry guys!
