1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Classic Bag on: October 13, 2010 09:04:09 AM
I haven't been here for so long! Actually I made a bunch of bags since my last visit, but I wanted to share one in particular. It's for the presentation of my fashion design course, I wanted my model to carry my handmade bag that I made especially for this cause. You can use it one of 2 ways: the snaps on the sides open, or closed. It makes totally 2 different looks for the bag, you can choose one. In the first 2 pictures, the snaps are open, and the other last 2 it's when they're closed:

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / 2nd "Chica" version: Baby Blue on: July 19, 2010 12:53:26 AM
I just made another version of the Chica bag (from my last post) with a baby blue colored print fabric:

I plan to make more of the "Chica" pattern.
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / I call this bag "Chica"! on: July 13, 2010 07:37:43 AM
I made this bag as a prize for a contest I'm running (not sure if I can mention it and its details here).
Magnetic closure and an inner pocket. Handles are black faux leather with rivets and O-rings. And isn't this fabric amazing?! I made another bag from the same fabric only blue (for those who can remember).

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Cute, young, and fun! on: June 05, 2010 03:35:47 AM
This greenish bag is really cute, imo. Perfect size too. It's made out of my Classical Romance pattern.
As you can see it has a pleated flap over closure (with magnetic snap underneeath). Has a zip pocket inside, and light green lining. I plan to make more of this:

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Young and Restless on: May 21, 2010 06:27:56 AM
I find these bags young and because I couldn't wait to finish them, I was restless until I did.
Anyway, if you remember the bag I made for myself for school, the first following bag is the same design with different fabric. I was asked to bring some fabrics with me before school starts (fashion design) and design something with them, so I had some of this bag's fabric left. So I made a bag with it (it's from Ikea, that I went to day before because the store near my house is always closed  Angry, too bad for the owner who's losing a lot of money this way...) This is the first new bag, with adjustable strap and 2 pockets - one inside that closes with a magnetic snap. and an outer zipper pocket on front. Has a zipper closure on top:

And this is a bag I finished a few hours ago, with a romantic yet cool pink print. I used the same pattern, but had some features changed, like instead of one long adjustable strap, I made 2 handles with rings. Also, it closes with 2 magnetic snaps, that's another change:

Both were made this week, tell me what you think!

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Studying Messenger on: May 11, 2010 05:11:10 AM
So, I'm starting fashion design school in 2 weeks, very excited, but my regular everyday bag got ruined somehow a few weeks ago, so I decided to make a new one, that will fit my own needs. I wanted it pretty big, with an adjustable strap, and with a zipper closure. I don't really need pockets inside, just one outside, zippered one. I saved the main fabric for this very cause, because I think it's very cool.
I actually made this bag a few weeks ago, but got its pictures taken only today. I have already taken it with me to a few places and got good responds from people. So I wanted to hear your thoughts on it!

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Busy week on: April 29, 2010 01:36:34 AM
I've been making the following bags for about a week now. I used the same pattern for all of them, and changed some details, so they're not all the same:

Since I gave the last one to a friend for her birthday, and decided to keep the purple one to myself, I decided to make another one of this pattern, which is a lot of work, but I really love the result. Different fabric of course, 'cause I cannot do the same twice  Grin

The zipper closure:

This is my new double-pleated tote.
It was a bit difficult to match the three parts to each other and the bag's both sides to each other. But it turned out okay and matchy.

This is the "Wishful Thinking" bag. It's its name, not what I wish for  Grin
Has a magnetic snap closure.
