1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Safety Pin Bracelet on: May 04, 2011 12:57:01 PM
I used to make these loads when I was younger and they'd take me FOREVER.  I recently remembered how good they look, and I can make one in every colour to go with any outfit.  I suppose it is re-conned a bit as they are on safety pins.  Sorry for the rubbish pic, I will upload another if anyone wants to see a better one.

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re-decorated button top for my sis on: May 04, 2011 12:53:24 PM
So my sister came to me with this top - it had studs glued to it, which kept coming off in the wash, but she loved the shape of it.  So it killed my nails, but i picked off the remaining studs and turned to my nana's button jar and this is what happened!  She loves it, and so do I, gotta make one for myself now!!

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / A couple 'o' bag presents on: September 03, 2010 01:31:56 PM
Evening all,

All I seem to do at the moment is craft for presents....not that i mind of course, if i'm crafting for presents then at least i can get away from the 'fabric guilt'  of all the beautiful fabric I bought to make myself lovely dress and as of yet...haven't  *ahem* anywaaay moving on.  Bags....

Number 1 - a birthday clutch for my friend Hannah.  Turned out a little smaller then I had wanted, but then again, i love big clutch's.  Would double the size next time.  All made out of scraps of material and one mahoosive button of course

Number 2 - a pump-bag for my god-daughter, don't know about the rest of you, but its back to school time here in the UK.  And you need a pump-bag, for your pumps, obviously.  Its also her birthday and she is 9 so i thought she'd appreciate this.  Old towel + felt = pump-bag

4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Present for a baby girls Baptism on: September 03, 2010 12:57:09 PM
Hi All,

I was racking my brains what to make for a babies baptism - I couldn't attend, and thought the family would do all the religious stuff so I made the below - easiest elasticated skirt ever from some old pajama bottoms of mine (shh! dont tell anyone)  Then to personalise it sewed her name on in felt - turned out better then I had imagined and apparently she loves it!  Although she's only 5 months, so i'm not sure how she loves it, but she does!  Cheesy

5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Housewarming gift - Pin Up Girl Coasters on: April 05, 2010 05:15:24 AM
Good afternoon,

I had two difficult friends who have both separately moved in with their respective other halves - when thinking what to buy them as a housewarming gift I had no idea - but I did have some very ugly coasters....

Following the tute http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=47001.0;all i recycled them into three sets of fantastic pin up girl coasters (a set for me as well of course).

I know these have been posted elsewhere before - but it was back in 2005, so I thought it was worth a re-post and a big thanks to jan-on-ice for the inspiration!

Have a look at these baby's...

6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Mother's Day / A Beach Bag for Mothers Day on: March 20, 2010 10:16:52 AM
Hi Again,

So Mothers day has just gone by here in the UK and I really wanted to make my mum something really special.  We are all going on holiday to Greece this summer for a family wedding and I knew my mum would need a beach bag - so I made her one - from this tute - http://stephblue.blogspot.com/2008/04/sling-bag-tutorial.html - really easy to understand - thanks StephBlue!  I changed it a touch - I doubled the size of the bag, and so gathered it to attach it to the strap and shortened the strap so it just sits under her arm, as I thought she'd prefer it that way.

I didn't make it fully reversible because I didnt have any red cotton to finish off the bottom *rolls eyes* probably the only colour I haven't got - and one which I use most often!

She was really pleased with it and I'm now comissioned for 2 more for other family members!

7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Baby Shower Present - Two Rocking Bibs and a Label Rag on: March 20, 2010 09:52:17 AM
Good afternoon all - I am new to Craftster and up until now have been a lurker, not a poster, but I was so pleased with these bibs I made for my friends baby shower, that I thought I should share them.  We do not know the gender of the baby - so I thought I'd stick to something that could go either way - this baby will need some rock influence in it's life as well - as the new mum is NOT a rocker.  The pattern was taken from http://www.poopockets.com/free/bibs/bibs.htm - Bib B - really easy to make.

The label rag is my familys version of a taggie rag - my Nana used to make them for me when I was a baby as whenever anyone held me - I'd half strangle them going for the silky labels.

My friend was really pleased with them (I'd like to think more pleased then with any thing bought) and I was shocked that something I'd made had made her so happy.
