11  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / New Poppet for a personal swap. on: December 29, 2012 12:17:18 PM
I wanted to show my new Poppet I made for a personal swap. I made her with wired fingers, tail & ears she has a necklace & a ring on her finger & bloomers which I forgot to take a pic of. I kind of over did it with her hair she does have a small stick in her neck which I'm glad I did that because her hair is so heavy. The bottom of her dress there are pins in there hadn't finished her completly before pic. Wanted to get pic before I forgot to. So her she is:

I had fun making her! Thanks for looking!  Cheesy

I made this Silly Girl doll for a little 3 yr old, the whole family was on the tree for a needy family @ my Husband's work! So I took the 3 yr. old one & it said dolls on the tag. I remenbered the Silly girl pattern & I had to make her one. She is all hand made.
I think she turned out pretty good. Cheesy

13  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Santa & Mrs. Claus on: December 20, 2012 03:27:14 PM
These are almost full size dolls that I turned into Santa & Mrs. Claus. The dolls I made several years ago. There heads are make from old nylons & there bodies are made from muslin. I did make the Santa fingers with wire in them, Mrs. Claus doesn't she was my first & around 41/2 ft. & Santa 5ft. So I Put 2 mops on Santa head & a hat & a red dress & apron on Mrs. claus. So here they are.

This is the outside looking in.
Just wanted to show what I did for our display window. Nothing fancy.
14  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My Art Doll on: November 02, 2012 04:03:10 PM
I was in the The Art Doll Swap not to long ago. It's way off what I usualy do. I do more Rag dolls or Poppets.
So this is what I did, my partner didn't care to much what I did, she said just have fun so I did. Her body is fabric & a sculpted face. From there it went a little wild.
I made her hair from colored pipe cleaners sewed them on. Her 1 eye is a necklace fastner & the other eye is a tiny flower I glued in & a bead for her lips. I made a necklace out of beads & another one with just jute & a charm.
Her boobs are washers & then crocheted with the jute & sewn on her body & I made a chain for to tie in the back.
No legs I made a wood platform for her & I did put a wood screwer in her body cut it off where I wanted it & it fits in the wood platform.
Then I made a screen skirt folded on top & made a sleeve to put a hemp string through it. But I still thought it needed something so I embroidery different things on it & some buttons for flowers & a old necklace of mine for a belt. I finished it off & sewn a pretty ribbon on the botton of the skirt.  I had so much fun making this I would do again for sure. Thanks for looking.

Sorry the pics are a little fuzzy. So I hope you like her, I know she's a little wacky, but I loved making her.
15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Cross over Bag! on: November 02, 2012 10:41:58 AM
I made this bag for my Granddaughter's Birthday which is coming up Nov. 4 Th she'll be 12 yrs old can't believe it. It's kind of like the cross over bag that there's a pattern for, down aways in the list, but I didn't use any zippers. Also it's reversible. She loves Fairies & Rock Stars so that sounded good to me, so here it is. I also made a change pouch too.

The main outside, there is a pocket on the outside & inside.

This is the Rock Star side. I think she'll like it.
Thanks for looking.

17  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Felt Badges on: April 27, 2012 05:11:39 PM
I made these Badges for a Swap!! I loved making them. The elephant was on my partner's Pinterest so it was pretty easy to make & bright & cute!!
The other one is a girl either sulking or embarrassed, not sure the girl who actual drew it was a girl at a School my Husband Teaches at & it was several years ago, he saw her drawing this & told her it was very good & she said, here you can have it. So after all these I decided to draw it myself free hand then I made a badge from it. I did not use my drawing for a pattern It did take awhile to embroider. I just drew it free hand looking at my drawing. My husband really like it & I'm pretty proud of it too!! My partner who received it for the swap said she like it. So here are the 2 Badges!! Thanks for looking!

20  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Magazine trial wallets on: February 16, 2012 12:03:45 PM
I saw this video & had to try & make one. I made mine a little shorter so I could keep it in my jeans pocket. The first one is a little to big but I like how it turn out with the face & the little faces on the flap, the second one is better but still not quite what I want & not as good of pics that I like. I'm a retired Hairstylist so I have a lot of these magazines around. Here is the Video:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_THIFaxp-iE&feature=related
So what do you think? Undecided

The pieces of paper is the 3 slots I have.

This bigger one has 3 pockets also but to deep, & doesn't fit that well in my pocket. Could use it in a purse because I do like it.

These are the backs open, I should of turn the page around for the smaller one.
Any advice welcome! I'm just learning, the tape isn't very smooth either.
Thanks for looking!
