2571  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: A Plethora of Poppets Gallery on: May 30, 2011 01:29:43 PM
Ditto what everyone said! I can't believe all the things you did for a first poppet! Boobies too! Sharalee, she is wonderful. I would like a vest like that. And her hair has so much texture! Terrific job!
Oh your so sweet puamelia, the boobies were my own Idea & I just went with it. The Vest like I said above, the sleeves were driving me nuts so I said the heck with it & went with the Vest. Any way her arms showed more that way, so that worked out well. Thanks so much for all your kind comments!!! Much appreciated. I learned a lot from all of you, Thanks a bunch!!!! Cheesy
Sleeves are my downfall too Shara T-T I'm amazed at the ladies who manage them.

Me too, I'm not crazy about sewing sleeves although when I make Barbie doll sleeves I seem to do alright. Maybe it's size wise, I can't say. Thanks again
Sharalee - she sure is one buxom beauty.
Yes she is buxom. My Partner said she didn't mind. So I made her as big as I could. Roll Eyes

She's just right for a rock star, especially her "assets". I would never have guessed that she was your first.
Oh gosh, thanks for your kind words. I appreciate it alot. Cheesy

2575  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Plethora of Poppet Swap on: May 30, 2011 09:54:51 AM
Hi everyone, I just finish my Poppet for the Plethora of Poppet Swap. This my first Poppet, It was a lttle hard for the first one, but it turned out pretty good. So any suggestions will be apprecitated. My partner had a few requests & one was a "Rock Star" So here she is.

This is all the things I gave her. My partner said she really like everything! I gave her extra fabric to make more oufits, 2 packages of button covers for joints, a card with the pic of her "Rock Star"choice, a Adoption Certicate, a owl stufie, & a wired heart I made. Cheesy

I embroidery on her arm, from her finger up her arm to her shoulder & she can bend her fingers.
On the other arm I embroidery just the upper arm all around & she has a bracelet with a moon charm & a ring with a flower on it on her finger.  Wink

The Vest was supposed to be a Jacket but couldn't get the sleeves to work so I made it a vest & I like it even better.
So how do you think I did for the first Poppet? Thanks for looking!! I had a lot of fun. Also learned a lot from other craftsters.  Smiley

Thanks for telling me. That's neat how you did it. I've had no trouble so far with the pipe cleaners  But everyone has their own special techniques, that's why we have Craftsters so we can learn new things. Your technique is very interesting & I'll have to try it. Thanks!!  Wink

She is really darling. I love her face & outfit so cute. I know I have old patterns, but I don't think I have that one. I guess I'll have to look through them & see what I can find. Great job!!! Roll Eyes  Thanks for showing her.

These are so cute. So neat you used up your scraps stash. You also could put potpourri in them or maybe lavender etc. then stash them in drawers or hang them on hangers under your garments to smell good & when you go get the garment off the hanger you see a cute softie peek out at you & make you smile. Just a thought!!! Roll Eyes

Very cute. The faux fur looks just as good as the fleece. Wink
