21  Re: Poppet vs Ami Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Sharalee on: September 10, 2014 01:57:31 PM
Sorry I didn't put pics in yet! Was sick some yesterday, but still work on "Jkaywiz" 's Poppet! Getting almost done. Without further ado here is My fabulous Victorian Poppet with a little steampunk added: Love her so much!

The detail is just amazing. her cool necklace, her corset, her pouch with the key on it & the clock & other keys too.

Her cute little hat!

Her darling boots with the tiny buttons!

Her cute Lacey wristlets & look at those fingers so tiny!

Sorry it's so blurry, the tiny clock & keys!

Here's my extras, some fabric for making more Poppets & a flower is a air freshener & a pretty card!
Thanks so much "jkaywiz" I really love her. She is the most coolest Ami ever & my first one!  I hope you like what I'm making you as much as I like mine! Thanks again for being my partner!! It's coming real soon!

My partners seam to be having trouble getting pics of the patches I made them so here they are.

These are for "Craftsunderground"

This is one of my favorite ones, she likes steampunk, so I made a steampunk robot, It just nuts & bolts & wire.

This one from her tiny houses theme, it turn out pretty good too!

This is the kit with fabric, buttons, charms, beads etc. I just forgot to put in some floss, I meant to, just was hurrying to get it all together to send!

These are for "Inseleaffchen" for her Sea Creature them. I hope you can tell what it is.

This is one from her Nature theme. It turn out pretty good.

This is her kit mostly the same just a little difference!

Thanks for being my partners. I had fun making them. Also "craftsADDchick" thanks for organizing. I'll be ready for the next one!

"stillatthetop" the trapunto sounds fun, but do you have a pic it? I'm not sure what you mean by between the layers & I need to see it so I can understand it.  Also I've been making lots of the pillows.

The owl one I'm still working on it, but I stuck it in there anyway. Now I just need to embellish them. I can't stop making them, HA oh well it's fun!!!

I received, Yeah from "Chrimisha"!   I received a lot of cute things. One a apron it has my beloved Cooper on the front & say's Cooper's Mom! Then some greyhound molds & a chocolate & white chocolate to make a brindle, so neat I'll be making those real soon! "Chrimisha" you ask if I bake, not as much as I used to, but I'll make those for sure. Also she made a little memory box for our Cat she's still here, but getting old 14 yrs. so I wanted something for her & "Chrimisha" said she'd make her something.
OK here's the pics:

She even put a cold compress in with the chocolate bars so they wouldn't melt. How cool!

I also got a cookie greyhound cutter. I love it.
Thanks so much. I love everything. Thanks for such a great package.

"Alittlemusthave" They are so cute. love the painting & the freestyle machine embroidery very lovely.  Great package!

I really don't think it matters to much the sizes unless you really want something precise for what you are making. I like all sizes 3" to 6" or 7".  If some don't quite fit in somewhere you can put one on top of another just on the edges. Or maybe a circle it could go on top say where all corners met then put that circle one on top. I like the look of that. I did that on a bag I made my Sister last year. Here is a pic of the bag.

I made drawings of this so I knew where the circle was going to be on each patch. That way I knew what & where to put each of my embellishments on each patch.

I turn over twice I guess I didn't like the ravels showing, I know a lot of you just trun it over once that's fine it's just my little quirk.  This is how I made the corner, except I should have put the needle in the corner a third time, I missed that. Oh well!

This is how I sew over the fold, the thread is over on this side & I put the needle under the fold I'm lifting it up a little then back through to the back & start over again.

I don't put to much stuffing in it. It'll be flatter after I do my embellishments.

After I'm all done. Hmmmm..... wonder who's going to get this one?

It's a little flatter now. Hope this helps someone. If anybody has others ideas or how they sew their TM Patches I'd love to see. I need pics to see how you sew them.

30  Re: Spirit/Intention Doll Swap - GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by Sharalee on: June 21, 2014 11:20:49 AM
"LadybugsAndBumblebees"  What a cute intention doll she is such a happy doll. The little heart & butterfly are darling. The extras are cool!! Love that crochet bag!

Well "P_E_S_T" is very busy so I'll post pics of my doll I made her! One of her themes was "Woman" so I went with that! I used the pattern by "Nellie's Needles" I really like this pattern. I put interfacing on it. I also used some of the quotes by "Siverravenwolf.files.wordpress.com"  Spirit Dolls. This is the quote I wrote all around the the doll on the edge:
"I conjure thee a creature of cloth a herb so that you will be for me a talisman for wealth and good fortume."

I chanted while I was making her. She has cinnamon & vanilla inside her. I hand sewn her & when I turned her it just came together really well. I put strength in her & her shape signifying Birth & time. I made her breasts & belly from pieces of fabric wrap  round & around & then put in a circle. I'm 5 yr. cancer survivor. I put the infinity sign on her belly contains the birth of the universe. Wrap wire all around her with beads. 3 things were my grandmother's, the lace that's her skirt, her wrap a handkerchief & her tassel on her head it was on top of my grandmother's sewing basket & had came off. She has a chain around her waist with charms. On one of the scrolls I put "I AM WOMAN HEAR ME ROAR"   She gave me strength and healing & so much more! I hope it does the same to you to Jolene.

This is what she looked like before everything else I put on her! I put the gold speckle tiny ribbon all over her. I was going to use that face but I didn't like it so I change to the sculpted one.

She has a scroll on her breast & one on her arm & she a crystal & a bottle of pearls & a butterfly pin.

This her back with another scroll.

Here she is up close with her scroll & eucalyptus twig. Her hair has the tassel of my grandmother's & a piece of lace around her face with sequins. Her hair is eyelash I think it's called yarn.
Thanks for letting me make this for you Jolene. I had so much fun! I for sure will want to do another one.
Thanks to you Wendie for such a inspiring theme & for organizing this swap!!  All you crafters made amazing Intention dolls, I love all of them!!
