I made these Dolls a few years back. There was someone who made them in one of my craft magazines, so I wanted to try it. I did the Old Lady first. The Head is a Nylon sock & you just fill with old nylons to what ever you like, then sculpt with your needle a long one. After that Paint the eyes, & lips etc. Then make the body I kind of look at a pattern of a Doll I like, then drew my own body, arms & Legs, cut it all out then sewed pieces together. Then I sewed on the head, be sure you stuff it well or put a stick in the neck so it won't flop over, Mine does some but OK. I Painted her shoes on. The hair is wool I just kind of laid it on & sewed it on. She turn out pretty good for my first time of that kind of Doll. I made the old man 3 yrs. latter did a few things different but mostly the same except bigger & taller he's about 5ft. & she's around 4ft. & I did put pipe cleaners in the old Man's fingers so he can hold things. So Please tell me what you all think & any suggestions for them, I might make some more. They are good for a companion in a car when someone is driving alone.
The Old couple with Edison Victrola between them & She's sitting in my Mom's rocking chair.
Just a little closer of the couple.
