How would I cut a shirt so that it'd fray/rip like the bottom of the shirt in this picture?

First clothing item i've ever made from scratch xD
didnt use a pattern either, just kinda mesured the fabric and started cutting.
Its made out of some old shiney silver curtains. C:

I dont know if you can tell, but its actually two parts, the "poofy" underskirt, and then untop in the main dress.

Did you use a pattern on any of them? i would love to make a corset skirt like that first one,
(and a corset, like the second xD) and my sister really likes teh red and blakc skirt and the corset xD

I really love the 1st pink and black(and white) spotted dress and the purple(4th dress) one <333
they are very nice.
Do you think you could maybe make a tutorial for one/both? i'v been looking for patterns or tutorials for dresses like that :]
