4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Bedside Cabinet help. on: October 05, 2010 09:56:16 AM
I've recently sanded and repainted a bedside cabinet and I'm about to cover the top with some beautiful fabric I bought. Just one thing:

What's the best way to keep the fabric clean and protected? I have a four year old and a messy 24 year old man-child that are prone to spillages and grubby fingers Tongue

6  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Pattern Costume Help! on: October 05, 2010 03:49:54 AM
For Halloween, I've decided to go all out and make my own costume from scratch. My attempts so far have been resting on the "meh" side.

I want to go as a Little Sister from the game Bioshock:

Now, in the style of dress I'm looking for, I can only find little girl sized patterns - such as style f on this site. http://www.simplicity.com/p-5098-childs-dresses.aspx

So if anyone could offer me some advice on making it fit a big girl like me that would be great!

I'm on a low budget, so preferably free/very cheap patterns would be awesome.
