21  My first leather slippers in Shoes: Completed Projects by AbigailsCrafts on: April 05, 2010 02:24:15 AM

Made my first pair of leather shoes/slippers! They're kind of wobbly, but you can see how I did them on my blog.

22  Nalbinding - Oslo stitch pouch (with video tute) in Knitting: Completed Projects by AbigailsCrafts on: April 02, 2010 04:02:51 AM

I've been teaching myself nalbinding, and as there isn't an awful amount of information in English I made a couple of videos Smiley
You can find them, as well as instructions for this pouch, on my blog.

23  First leather project - card case in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by AbigailsCrafts on: March 31, 2010 12:04:11 AM

A little case for business cards/credit cards/travel pass.
This is my first attempt at sewing leather, so I'd welcome critiques on my tutorial from more experienced leatherworkers!

24  Felt lovebird slippers in Shoes: Completed Projects by AbigailsCrafts on: March 29, 2010 01:13:44 AM

I figured these belonged here rather than footwear as they are sewn from fabric (felt). I sewed slippers and appliqued a design on the toes.

Tutorial, including how to draft the pattern to fit, on my blog Smiley

25  Woven beaded necklet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by AbigailsCrafts on: March 26, 2010 02:48:50 AM

I wasn't quite sure whether to put this in fiber arts, but I guess it belongs here Smiley
This necklet is made by needle-weaving scraps of handpun yarn, with rolled-paper beads woven in. I plan to make a fancier one with stones or glass beads next Smiley

Tutorial on my blog, as usual.

26  $2 DIY loom in Weaving: Completed Projects by AbigailsCrafts on: March 25, 2010 09:14:17 PM

I made a loom from the frame from an A3-size corkboard, and a heddle reed from part of a plastic ringbinder, both from the 100Y shop! I could probably have cut the strips that make up the reed a bit straighter, but it works just fine Cheesy

Full instructions on my blog, as usual Wink

There was even enough plastic left over to cut out some useable shuttles.

27  Felt microbes (with tutorial link) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by AbigailsCrafts on: March 24, 2010 12:01:55 AM

I hope this is the first time I gave anyone salmonella! The green guy is a salmonella bacterium, the orange one is an amoeba. Full tutorial here.

28  Periodic table cardboard table in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by AbigailsCrafts on: March 08, 2010 05:54:31 AM

This is my first, and characteristically geeky, attempt at cardboard furniture, a periodic coffee table. The 'missing' elements are on the support strut under the table.

The top seems to have bowed a little during the drying process, but it supports the weight of 2 full mugs and a pile of paperbacks ok Cheesy

Tutorial on my blog!

29  drinks can 'cloisonne' in Completed Projects by AbigailsCrafts on: March 08, 2010 01:56:52 AM

Ingredients - one cheap cola can, one pointy stick, pliers to fold the edges back, and magic markers. I'm thinking of punching holes in the ends and using a spare dpn to make it into a hair clip or shawl pin.

I posted a tutorial on my blog Smiley

30  Flower felt cellphone sleeve in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by AbigailsCrafts on: March 08, 2010 01:08:52 AM

Another tutorial project, this one to teach backstitch and blanket stitch. I'm really happy with how it turned out - I don't often find colours like that blue in the 100-yen store!

Full step-by step tutorial on my blog  Grin
