1  Hitchhiker's Housewarming in Needlework: Completed Projects by Tracey_K on: September 14, 2010 08:59:46 PM
I made this for my friends as a housewarming present, They actually played the song from the film as part of their wedding, so it's very fitting.
I loved putting the whole design together, and picking different fonts and colours.
I forgot to take a picture of it after it was framed, sorry about the (once again) un ironed photos, but it looked much better framed, I promise!

A close up on the dolphin, I used the metallic thread on the waves, and also on the little fish at the top. It's a nightmare to work with!

Thanks for looking!

2  Chuck Nerd Herd Logo in Needlework: Completed Projects by Tracey_K on: September 12, 2010 10:59:44 PM
With about a week to go till Season 4 of Chuck starts, I can't wait!
I've been revisiting season 1-3, and got inspired to create this little guy to stitch while I watched.
I designed him myself, and think he captures the feel of the logo from the show.
Any other Chuck fans out there?

Gee, after looking at these pictures, I really need to iron my stuff before I post!

3  Serenity/Firefly Inspired Cross Stitch in Needlework: Completed Projects by Tracey_K on: July 06, 2010 06:42:50 PM
I've been looking at everyone's awesome designs, and finally decided to get the courage to post one of my original creations.

It's pretty simple, and inspired by Wash from Firefly. It's actually a quote from the movie.

The leaves are just a freehand design of my own, done in one strand so they blend into the background a bit. I wanted it to look like they were blowing across the quote (not sure if I achieved that, but really happy with how it turned out!)

Thanks for looking!
