I got my super-fabulous package from luckdragon!! Grin

This is what I found when I opened the box. Even the card is fab! Cheesy

All the loot!! I'm so spoiled! (but I'm not complaining!! Cheesy)

Lovely sketchbook, in a wonderful hand embroidered cover - the fishies are gorgeous! The silk is more of a pretty green than this, but it doesn't photograph so well. This is so beautiful!

Perfect, beautifully made bag! I couldn't get a good pic of the inside, but it also has several trimmed and zippered pockets Smiley AND you can flip it over and have the fabrics the other way around too - a very nifty design!

Birdie necklace off my wist! so pretty!!

AND a lovely zippered pouch, AND the cutest handmade notebook, AND .... silk embroidery thread! All my Craftster buddies know how much I love this stuff! (...and I know exactly what I'll be turning some of it into for you, luckdragon, these are just the right colours Wink)

Thank you so much Karen, I love everything, and you are a wonderful swap partner!!

Well it took way over a month to get here, but at last my awesome package from skaborsk has arrived! And worth waiting for too Smiley

A little fox hoop!! and a stencilled Spock cloth!!

Foxy is gorgeous (and a lot of work in this too!), and the Spock cloth is brilliant. Both very much my style - simple, and beautifully done. The Spock print is so awesome, I may not relegate it to my kitchen, but turn it to a more awesome purpose instead ... Wink

Gratuitous close up (the cuteness! the cuteness!)

Thank you so much skaborsk! Grin

Even the card is itself a work of art.

The little bracelet is just lovely, nicer than the one I had wisted, and perfect colours for me Smiley

And as if that wasn't enough, thread holders and ... drumroll ... delicious silk thread!! my favourite!! Grin

thank you so much!!! you made my day Grin

I got a wonderful hoop from Deee! It's a trilobite! I love fossils Grin

close up of teeny tiny stitching

It's hard to see the full awesomeness in a photo, but my little fossil friend is padded and quite three-dimensional (yay for 3D!). Thank you so much Deee!!

I got a fantastic (Fantastic Foxes!) package from muddy21 Grin

I opened the box to find this handsome fellow ...

... he's quite lovely of course, but muddy said he was useful too, and I couldn't figure out what for. Why does he have holes in his nose?

Fortunately muddy sent instructions and supplies Cheesy

He's a string dispenser!! Meet Mr Rufus Stringfellow, Esq. Look, his scissors are glasses!!

And if that wasn't enough, she also sent some lovely supplies - brocade! embroidery thread!

So I've been very spoilt. Thanks muddy21 for a fab, and unique, package! Smiley

The envelope needlebooks (cute!) and slippers, and Dr Who things and everything ... are all wonderful!

90  Happy tree painting in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by jemimah on: February 01, 2011 10:06:30 PM
I painted this for sarahj2001 for the Ongoing Wish Swap. It's inspired by two different paintings (by different artists) that were on her wist, plus the colours and fabrics she had on there too. Although I liked the things she had wisted, I didn't want to do a direct copy, so I attempted my own take on the style. Acrylic on canvas.

It's not the sort of thing I usually do, but it makes me smile and I like how it turned out. And sarahj2001 likes it too - hooray!

Would love to hear your comments and suggestions.
