(I'm sorry I haven't been around much to comment on everyone's parcels, but I have been admiring everything, and you are all so creative and amazing!)

I GOT MY PARCEL FROM LIMERIOT!!!!!! Grin

looklooklooklookloo k ...

Everything is so beautiful and so me!!

She knitted me a fantastic shawl in the prettiest colours, really lightweight and so wearable, AND sent a lovely handcrafted shawl pin too ...

... and she also knitted me some beautiful mitts that fit perfectly! The photo doesn't really show just how gorgeous, soft and luminous these are ...

It is such a treat to have some lovely things knitted just for me - as a knitter myself I know how much love and work has gone into these beauties - wow!

She made a sweet needle book, and a wonderful dalek notebook, with that classic lime stylishness - I will feel happy every time I use it. Love! Smiley

And as if that wasn't enough, she sent a wonderful handmade stamp, and created some beautiful stationery with it too!

AND she totally spoiled me with some gorgeous madeline tosh yarn (wonderful colours and such a special treat for me!!) and topped it off by finding me some of the vanilla mints that I tried when I visited the US and have hankered after ever since. Grin

Thank you doesn't even begin to cover it Lime - you are amazing and I am a very lucky jemimah!!!

I got a fab supplies package from quilted!

She sent some pretty metallic thread, DMC thread sticks (I use tons of these!), lovely soft yarn from her stash, some amazing Noro cord, and not one but two balls of beautiful Noro yarn! AND, she made me some great buttons - yay!

Thanks so much quilted, everything is very "me" and I will use and enjoy it all  Grin

I just received some fab leaf coasters from skittlebub!

They are reversible, brown on one side, green on the other. skittlebub did a beautiful job with sewing the leaf veins - it must have taken ages to get it so neat!

Thank you so much Cheesy

No worries! I hope your animals are going to be OK.

This is the main item I sent Jen. It's a little stumpwork hoop Smiley

There's a thread about it here. I'm not sure if I have a pic of the bag and birdies though.

8  Bee and berries stumpwork in Needlework: Completed Projects by jemimah on: December 16, 2011 05:24:45 PM
This was stitched for the marvellous miknessevie in the IYP swap. She said she would like some embroidery, so I decided it had to be stumpwork Smiley

It is all made of thread, fabric, beads, and wire, with traditional stumpwork techniques. I used components from a Jane Nicholas book to create a design for Jen - she likes bees and berries. The hoop is just a little one, the embroidery is tiny.

Stitches include stem, feather, cretan, french knots, ghoirdes/turkey knots, couching, satin. The berries and wings are stitched separately, then applied, the wings are wired, the eyes are beads.

Hope you like it!

After much sad gazing at the empty mailbox, I got my lovely parcel from miknessevie!!   Grin

It's full of beautiful felt and lampwork glass! She made me a darling wool pouch with a fox (<3) and a wooden button - so cute!

Mr Fox. Smiley

She also felted me this fabulous ring, inspired by one on my wist. I love this! It is super light and surprisingly comfortable to wear.

What she probably didn't know is that in New Zealand, our 'Christmas tree' is a tree called pohutukawa, which has flowers that look like this. So this is going to be my Christmas holiday accessory - perfect timing!! Cheesy

<---- December in New Zealand Smiley

I have no idea how miknessevie makes these tiny little glass things. She sent bluebird earrings, frog earrings, bee beeads, and fab black and green blobby beads. They are all beautiful! I especially love the frog earrings (I love froggies!!), and the green beads - I have plans for them already! This pic also shows the lovely tree on the back of the pouch.

Thank you so much for a wonderful parcel!!!

I got an AMAZING package from alwaysinmyroom!! Grin

Wow!!! You can hardly even see the beautiful scrappiness through all the other awesome Grin

She made me the most gorgeous project bag and pouch. The brights + neutral design is perfect for me. She used up her Kaffe Fassett scraps for me - so pretty!!

These things are wonderfully made. The lining is so pretty too! The pouch has a little dragonfly charm, and the bag has a handle you can unfasten, perfect pockets (one elasticated), and a drawstring - these are going to be so well used and loved! Smiley

She also spoiled me with extras. The felted bowl she made is fab, and feels so nice Smiley  Since I live in New Zealand, some of my favourite supplies are very expensive and hard to get here, so alwaysinmyroom very generously sent me some of my favourite things - silk thread, memory thread, Noro yarn, and kimono silk from her collection, plus a knitting mag, hoops, and cute stickers (... I hope I haven't forgotten to mention anything). Just one would have been spoilage, but this blew me away. Here's another pic of some of the extras.

Thank you so much alwaysinmyroom for a wonderful and super-generous package!!! I love the exquisite things you made for me, and everything you sent will be used and enjoyed. Grin
