Oh I missed so many wonderful things!! You are all amazing - the linoprints and the trees, the beading and monsters, the thread catcher and the embroidery kit, and the cushion covers - and so much more - all wonderful!! I would love to swap with all of you Smiley

In the midst of packing to move, I got a fabulous parcel from edelC. Grin She sent a gorgeous handmade journal, some very cute Christmas ornaments (which fit with my natural + red + gold assortment perfectly), and a fantastic stencilled T-shirt which fits perfectly and which I just love!!

Thank you so much edel!! This will be my last swap for a while and it was such a pleasure crafting for you and getting to know you Smiley Vinaka!!

I got a gorgeous parcel from Averia!!

She claimed me for a tissue box cover, but what she made went way beyond a nice box shape in fabric. She made a truly beautiful, hand embroidered, linen one - it's perfect!! Grin

.... but wait, there's more!! it's reversible!! with fabulous batik patchwork in delicious colours AND a matching mug rug!!!!

It's absolutely gorgeous Averia, thank you SO much!

That's a great haul frosty!!

I just received the most fantastic package from zombiecazz!! I love it!!

My hubby brought in the parcel .... "what's this? some of your craftster stuff I suppose ..."  Roll Eyes

I said "Oooooooh!!" and promptly ripped it open, and when I saw what it was, before I took it out of the wrapping, my face must have lit up ......  Cheesy

.... because hubby said, "what is it?"  Roll Eyes

I said, "what's my favourite thing?" Cheesy

"..... it's a dalek, isn't it ....."  Roll Eyes

It IS a dalek, a fab quilted dalek bag!! With bonus cat pouch!!

Thank you so much zombiecazz - there's so much work and thought and creativity that's gone into them, and I will really enjoy using them!! Grin

5  Re: IYP 26: So you think you can craft! Gallery in The Swap Gallery by jemimah on: October 01, 2014 12:46:04 AM
I got a bit behind on the gallery and have just been catching up - there is so much AMAZING creativity in here!! You are all incredible!!

I'm going to add to the awesome too - I got my parcel from the fabulous alwaysinmyroom today!! Grin Eeeeee!!

Look at all the gorgeousness! Look! Look!!

She went with a Japanese-inspired theme, and everything is so beautiful and colour co-ordinated! There's a gorgeous hand dyed fabric bin (each side is a different design) and a set of exquisite origami cards! The shibori knot bag is perfect (and reversible) - aimr thought it would be a good little project bag, but it's so pretty I want to show it off as a little summer wristlet bag Smiley

And, yes, I got hand knit socks!! and they fit perfectly!! so spoilt!! And even more gorgeous, the wonderful silk mohair scarf in my favourite colour!! And supplies too - an amazing assortment of silk thread, and the softest baby alpaca yarn in the most gorgeous deep colour (photo doesn't do it justice).

See all this wonderful shibori? aimr actually HAND DYED ALL THIS HERSELF!! I'm so impressed!!!

I think my new scarf looks fab with my new haircut too! Cheesy

Thank you SO much alwaysinmyroom - you are such a wonderful, fun, generous and thoughtful craftster!!!!  Kiss

I received a wonderful parcel with two claims from luckdragon today (I think you had an offer for an angel already kittykill, but I'd always be happy to send her something special Smiley).

She sent me this really awesome and unusual scarf that I've had on my wishlist for AGES, and a wonderful assortment of art supplies, including my favourite Inktense pencils, and some Prismacolor fine markers that I don't think I've ever even seen in the shops here. Grin so spoilt!

Thank you so much luckdragon for a fantastic package of fabulousness!!

What a great haul of fabrics - you'll have a lot of fun with those!

anna.wahnsinn sent me a lovely package! Smiley there's a folder to put art work in with a dalek on it (I <3 daleks), and she also sent me a wonderful book -  a collected edition of Grimm's fairytales (like she had as a child), so I can brush up my very rusty German. Herzlichen Dank Anne!

(sorry again for the delay posting....)

Alliekat914 has been totally swamped with work, so I offered to post a pic of the headband I sent her Smiley  She said she loves it, and I'm so pleased she will enjoy wearing it!

She had the pattern on her wishlist. It's a great free pattern, and since you use the central lace bit for the buttonholes, it fits different sizes really easily - clever!

I received a fabulous package from alliekat914 today!!

She sent me a wonderful - and very generous, there's about 2 dozen of them - selection of cards! Gorgeous colours and the designs are perfect. I needed some more understated birthday cards suitable for men, and these are just right. The "joy" ones are especially gorgeous too! And, she also sent some embroidery floss, which is always much appreciated, and one is even glow-in-the-dark! Thanks Alliekat914, that was a lovely surprise to come home to on a very wet winter day!  Smiley
