Really like the colors together, great job!
192  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: What do you do with cut off yarn ends? on: March 30, 2010 07:26:23 AM
Same here: no cats, but kids  Wink. Good tip to use them for stuffing, I'll start saving them from now on. Another reason to finish those amigurumis in progress...
193  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: My 3yo wants a "scary crab" on: March 30, 2010 07:20:52 AM
The expression in the eyes makes all the difference, I think. If you change the eyes and mouth and perhaps the upper arms (lower them a little, as if to grab something), you could make an angry crab, as said above. Hope that's scary enough for him  Wink.
194  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: My Chinese Zodiac key chain critters on: March 30, 2010 06:45:56 AM
Good idea for a keychain, but you've also inspired me for the rearview mirror of my car! Plenty of work in progress here = unfinished amigurumis...

So how many more do you have to do, 10 or so? I don't know much about Chinese zodiac signs. There's also a pig and snake, but I don't get much further than that.
195  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: My colorful granny square bedcover and granny rectangle cushion on: March 30, 2010 06:12:03 AM
Lovely spread! I like the colors. I'd like to make one, someday  Wink. Three squares finished, many more to go...
196  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Re: Shaun the sheep mod to the fluffy bunny slipper on: March 30, 2010 06:06:33 AM
Very cute! Great choice of yarn, they look awesome. That's what I love about this forum, the ideas keep coming!
197  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Moorish Mosaic Afghan from Interweave Crochet Magazine Issue Fall 2009 on: March 30, 2010 06:01:09 AM
Got the pattern now, but so far I've only got 2 of the required 6 colors. I'll get the rest in 2 weeks, but in the meantime I'll get started on the triangles. So far I've done 7. Four squares are done and I've started doing an octagon which of course I cannot complete. It's easier than I thought!

I'd also love to see what this looks like in fabric. I'll just stick to crochet, that's probably better for me  Wink.

@Granite_Turtle: Have you made more progress yet? I'd love to see!
198  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Three bedfellows for my kids on: March 30, 2010 05:46:59 AM
I can't show the photo yet, as I'm new here, but I'll add it asap. -added the pic for you. fantasticmio Thanks!

The pink bear was my first and after finishing that one the sheep and bunny soon followed. It was good fun making them - and a great way to use leftover yarn. I've also tried amigurumi, but so far they didn't turn out so well (very odd long head). I followed the pattern for bunny, but apparently I dozed off or the pattern is not entirely accurate, 'cause its face turned out a bit big. It's cute though  Wink.

I think they'd also make great baby gifts (safety eyes) and some of my friends are due in a few months, so I'll probably make more with colors to match the baby's rooms.

Wow, I love this pattern! It will take a while before I can join you, as I've just ordered the back issue and I am from the Netherlands. Perhaps yours will be done by then Wink I've just taken up crocheting and I love it - the only downside is the cost.
