1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Fitted tank from boxy long sleeved shirt on: March 17, 2016 05:49:02 PM
I had a pretty baggy shirt hanging in my closet that was going to waste, so I removed the sleeves, took in the sides, and synched the back. Much better! The fabric is so thin and lightweight, it was a shame to leave it sitting in my closet.

After I chopped the arms off and then thought 'I really should have taken a before shot...'
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Retro wrap dress on: May 23, 2015 02:33:20 AM
Hello!
Ages ago I saw someone on craftster make a shirt based off this old pattern, and I loved it. I can't find it now, otherwise I'd link it, but I had to try my version.

It's got a circle skirt on the bottom, ties in the front and back, and buttons added under the arm for modesty. I looooove it! Just need to be careful when the wind blows ;P

This is what it looks like before you tied it up, when you pretend it's a cape..
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Reversible necklaces on: May 07, 2015 12:18:11 AM
I don't think i uploaded these here yet! Last summer I made a bunch of reversible necklaces using various paints, glitters and fabric, these are a few of them. I'm impatiently awaiting more supplies to make others now.. I also made some smaller single piece ones, but I'm having difficulty uploading photos.

Thanks for looking!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Self drafted A Line Dress on: May 01, 2015 07:57:53 AM
I just finished this dress and wanted to share it with you. CCW! It's my own pattern but I never made it with non stretch fabric before so there's not really enough room in the bust, makes me look a bit flat but that's not the end of the world.
You wouldn't believe how many times I ironed this dress and it's still super wrinkly..

Thanks for looking!
5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Raven stamp set on: March 08, 2015 11:12:15 PM
Hey guys, I made 3 raven stamps from erasers. The first one I made (wings down) isn't so great, but the other two I quite like! The perching one's feet ended up looking more like a branch, so I just draw a branch on where it's stamped now.

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / More spoon pendants.. This time galaxy themed! on: August 18, 2014 12:56:46 PM
Okay okay, I fully admit.
I'm way late on the galaxy design bandwagon and I'm super obsessed with it. Sue me (please don't sue me).
I made some pendants out of spoons that I painted with bright jewel toned metallics, filled with a spattering of stars and topped with epoxy resin. I'm in love with these and my man says it's his favourite thing I've made to date, which is a pretty sweet compliment.
Thanks for looking!

7  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / I'm on a shoe painting fix. Galaxy heels! on: June 03, 2014 01:47:57 PM
I'm having so much fun painting shoes lately. I had a pair of heels I painted years ago that I finally sanded the old image off of, and wanted to put a new image on. The mister had suggested I try my hand at galaxy heels, so off I went.
Does anyone else find it harder to do abstract stuff? It's definitely more challenging for me.

C&C would be greatly appreciated on this. I was nervous that these would look too little like space and too much like random blobs of colour, but they're growing on my quite steadily. Smiley
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Cowl Neck Dress/First experiment in drafting on: May 10, 2014 05:29:01 PM
I picked up a book on drafting a while back and and finally got to try it out with an old design I had sketched up last year. I did a muslin first to test it and made my adjustments, and ended up with this. It's exactly how I wanted it to be and I'm so excited about it!

There's no zippers, it pulls over and cinches around the waist with the ties. Such comfort!

Thanks for looking Smiley
9  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Painted Octopus Shoes & Making of video on: May 05, 2014 01:33:17 PM
Hi guys! I finished painting some heels a few days ago, wanted to share it with you. I'm more or less pleased with them, never took myself for much of a painter if you don't include nail polish, but they look alright. Smiley

I also started a youtube channel in the hopes of documenting some of the things I make, so I have a little video here showing a bit of me making them. It's not indended to be a walk through tutorial, but it might be helpful or interesting to check out none the less. http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOpSEzmIoP-PIoP6LbuWCLw
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Nautical Striped Dress on: April 26, 2014 01:02:33 PM
You know how you plan on making all sorts of things, and then you work on something else? Well instead of making cold weather dresses I made this little striped t-shirt dress. I've got some anchor tights that are begging to be worn with it, as soon as the temperature goes above 5. It is darn cold in my corner of the earth!

I don't have a picture of it on, so the mannequin will have to do

And the back goes across straight, as opposed to the front that has a curve on the red

Can you believe I ironed this thing? Sheesh.

Thanks for looking! Smiley
