22  Recycled Sweater Coat: An intense experiment in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lidehtium on: November 21, 2012 07:26:49 PM
So.. I went to Value Village when they had their 50% off sale, and bought a ridiculous amount of brown sweaters. 2 days, a few spools of thread and 3 garbage bags of scraps later I have this.

I'm immensely proud of how it came out for me just winging pretty much the whole thing, and I understand now why people sell these for several hundred dollars. If it wasn't for the 50% off sale this would have cost me over $100 just for supplies! Not to mention the time dedicated to making it.

I don't quite know what I'll do with this. Part of me finds it really comfy and strange and snug, and the other part of me is like 'Is this even your style? Why are you wearing this?' I think I'm getting too used to the fancy dress code of one of my jobs.

Comments and critiques are more than welcome, and I have some extra info on my blog if you're interested. Smiley

(Edit: I showed it to my boss a picture and he loved it, so I can wear it to work! I dont know why I worried, he's a designer and its his boutique/fabric store so we all wear handmade stuff.. Im just crazy I guess Tongue)

24  Touch screen compatible mittens in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by lidehtium on: November 02, 2012 05:47:15 PM
I'm so excited about sharing these. I made a huge set of wool mittens, that you can use your phone with because of conductive threads woven in.

More info on my blog.

25  Re: Secret Santa Swap 2012 SU Oct 1-Oct 20 **SO Nov 14-19 only** SU Closed in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by lidehtium on: October 31, 2012 03:19:10 PM
Im at the anxious part of the swap where I look at what Im making and go 'does this count as a small? medium?' Im working on a couple of ______s for the small and a couple different ______s for the medium.

Also, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I know this is a Christmas swap but Halloween is just so great. Is anyone else dressed/dressing up? If so, what? I myself am a sugar skull. Smiley

27  Braaaaiiiinnnnns! Hairclips :) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by lidehtium on: September 05, 2012 06:02:30 PM
I thought I posted these already but it seems I forgot. I found an amazing brain mold that I used to make some hairclips in 'natural' and 'zombie' Cheesy.

I'm going to love these come halloween even more than I do now. C&C appreciated.

28  Sea shell pendants in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lidehtium on: July 24, 2012 08:47:43 AM
I joined the pendant swap and made the first of these for one of my group members. Ever since I've been unable to stop making these pendants. Shells filled with glitter/stones, filled with resin. The bails are made of bent/wrapped wire. I'd love to hear what you think of these Smiley
