1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Wooden bracelets (lot of big pics) on: January 07, 2012 01:20:21 PM
Hi, everybody!

This year doctor's orders me not to wear metal jewelry due to allergies and i fall in love with wooden bracelets Smiley I make them and just can't stop! Smiley

Two painted wooden bracelets to wear on both hands.

Filament wooden bracelet.

I painted this bracelet with my favourite anime characters. There are too many mistakes, but now it's my biggest and coolest project and i like it!
I used pencil for sketch and then acrylic paints; i drew the contours by a needle, painted by the little brush and toothpicks.

At the bracelet:
- Chrona (Soul Eater);
- Nara Shikamaru (Naruto);
- Reki (Haibane Renmei);
- Soul "Eater" Evans (Soul Eater);
- Inuzuka Kiba (Naruto Shippuuden);
- Samedzima Mamimi (FLCL).

(If it's necessary i can post the closer photos with all the characters)

Just a simple bracelet with simple pattern. The color is selected by my brother, thank him for this Smiley

Matters for me, cause i was born and grew up in closed city. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Closed_city)

One more handpainted bracelet. For non-russianspeakers:
1) One poster from agon_noga street art project. Rough translation: "Lera what the hell" - love it cause Lera is my name Smiley
2) Rough translation: "We was washed ashore" - meaningless phrase by my mom.
3) just a wall Smiley
4) Word at the left corner is "Hoi" - russian punks greetings and exclamations.

I like texture and volume of words and joints between the bricks.

I just like this photo!
All was made by me besides red one with skulls and bones and black plastic one.

C&C are very welcome!

3  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / My maya sneakers for the 2012 on: September 17, 2011 09:08:21 AM
Hi all!
This project i was making all the summer, i stopped and started it so many times but today it's completed and i'm happy Smiley

I LOVE sneakers but it's always too hard to find a pair i'll like. So in june i bought the cheapest sneakers to customize them. That's so they were at the beginning:

I really don't know why round print on its side made me an association with the Mayan Calendar, but i decide to make a mayan sneakers.
I googled for mayan art and mythology and understood i'm a very bad artist Smiley I really can't draw so tiny details. But i started no matter what.
Pencil sketch...

...acrylic circuit...

...and the result!

I don't speak mayan language, but i find an alphabet for transliteration. At the top i write my name (Lera), at the bottom - my hubby's name (Anton).

I don't know what for, but i paint inner tab (really don't know how this part of sneakers is called in english, in russian it's a tongue Smiley ). They will be always hidden, but it's an eagle and a parrot Smiley

And inner side of sneakers.
At the right i draw Yum Caax - Mayan "lord of the forests", god of wild plants and animals that are important to hunters. He is equally a protector of the fields against the incursions of wild nature.

At the left i draw Ix Chel - Mayan "lady rainbow", goddes of moon, rain and rainbows with her moon rabbit. Sometimes she depicted as a goddess of catastrophe.

I think, with such sneakers i am no longer afraid of a doomsday in 2012 Grin

So, guys, what you think about my sneakers? C&C are very welcome!
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Naruto bracelet on: August 21, 2011 05:54:59 AM
Hi!

I'm now totally in love with Naruto and Shippuuden. My favourite character is Shikamaru, so i combine the study of new techniques (filament-bracelet-no jutsu) and Nara-love Smiley This bracelet is the result of this combination.

The first is symbol of Konoha, the second - symbol of clan Nara (at Shikamaru's shoulder), and the third is uneven stripes  Grin

I make few mistakes in making, but i'm not worry! Smiley
C&C are more then welcome!

Hi all!

I really needed a cardholder (there are too many cards in our live Smiley) but i liked nothing in shops. So i watched Naruto and crocheted-crocheted-crocheted Grin I want to make a flowers a as a decoration, but when i take a white yarn i made a scull. No ideas, why Smiley
It has three pockets for cards (shoes and cloths, food and other) and a long cord with the "leaf" at the end. I really love it:) And i like the scull is so toothy  Grin

And a pattern i made for the decorations. May be anybody will need it Smiley
