That sounds like a small canvas your working on, but it can be done. Are you using single crochet as the stitch pattern? You need to know how many stitches by how many stitches, for example, 10 across by 10 down. Do you have graph paper? Do you have a design that has been scaled down to fit the space? Trace the design on the graph paper and then using a minimal number of colors, color it in. I will be glad to help you make your pattern if you would PM me. Maria
1st rnd: Ch 6, * d c in ring, ch 3, repeat from * until 7 sps are made; then, ch 3. join with sl st (8 sps). Every rnd is joined with a sl st unless otherwise specified.
2nd rnd: Sl st into next ch-3 sp, Ch 7---(counts as the first dc in sp and ch-4), 4 d c in next sp, * ch 4, 4 d c in next sp. Repeat from * around, ending rnd with 3 d c in last sp completing the 4 dc shell. Join to 3rd st of ch-7 first made.
