That looks like duplicate stitch on a knit fabric. Maybe you can make a single crochet fabric and then cross stitch the design. The design looks easy to chart.

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Big Flower Petals Tam Beret with Free Pattern on: September 24, 2015 06:58:26 AM

I designed this hat with a a big stencil-like flower on top. It uses less than 2 1/2 ounces of worsted weight yarn and an H/5.00mm hook. There are close-up photos.

You can make one too if you go here: http://www.examiner.com/article/crochet-a-big-flower-petal-tam-beret-fashion-accessory-pattern?cid=db_articles&no_cache=1443102852

In instances where it's difficult to self-teach crochet, an instructor might be able to guide you. If you have a craft chain store in your ares, such as A.C. Moore, Jo-Anne's, or Hobby Lobby, they usually have people there that will show you or you can sign up for classes. Also, if you have a senior center near you, you will find ladies there that crochet.

The first thing you need to master is the slip knot, so that you can begin your chain.

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Pineapple Flap Bag with free pattern on: September 09, 2015 01:39:53 PM

Made all in one piece with a crocheted ribbon closure. Use up your scrap yarn with this pretty little purse that can be made in so many great colors and has so many uses, bridal, baptism, religious, prayer, mother's day, easter, communion, halloween, valentine's day, etc. depending on the color. Use the darker color for the purse and the lighter for the pineapple to make it really stand out. Made with your standard 4 ply in small amounts. I used a G/4mm hook for a tight weave.

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / 1916 Bucilla Butterfly free chart on: August 09, 2015 10:08:27 AM

I re-charted this pretty little butterfly. I used my own personal original copy of the 1916 Bucilla Blue Book of Crochet Novelties and Filet No. 6 Hope you like it!

Looks cool!  I bet a multi-colored version, particularly the wings, would be neat-o too.

I made this in a solid color but I'll bet a multi colored yarn would work. I know there is a way to use 2 colors of yarn, like graphghan. Maybe I can figure it out. Smiley
