Thanks so much, Beekeebear!

I do design all my own layouts, unless I am participating in a sketch challenge or am just really stuck - - then I might peruse the Page Maps blog for ideas - - I usually create a sketch for myself before I start laying everthing out.

I do some 2 pagers, I just entered a 2 pager in our County Fair - - keeping my fingers crossed!

I keep all my layouts in albums -- I recently started using the 3 ring binder style - and really like them.  Makes it easy to flip through and look at the layouts.

Hi Beekeebear!

I use my regular sewing machine for stitching on paper - - I do go through a lot of sewing machine needles, though!
I have tried the smaller craft sewing machines, but I prefer my large heavy duty machine.

The color on the layout is Delta Acrylic Paint in Antinque White - brushed on with a foam brush - I am using textured cardstock, so it gives a nice look with the paint.

Thanks for checking out my work!

I love this box!!  Really great images.

I love decopauging household items (coffee table tops, etc)  I have a vanity case posted here that I recently decopauged.

And you could always send this adorable box over to me  Wink I would use it to store my containers of turtle food in!

:DThanks for all your fab comments! Cheesy

Hotcha & Annalisa - all the images are cut from emphemera sets (2 - 8 1/2 X 11 Sheets per set) available from Gecko Gals - - I used several different sets, each with a common theme (Flappers, By the Sea, etc)

After decopauging the images on, I used Helmar Antique Acrylic Sealer which gave the entire case a nice, aged, slightly yellowed overall finish.

The inside is in pristine condition, with a pull out tray and fabric zippered pouch attached to one inside wall.  I may add crystals around the mirror.

Took an old hard sided vanity case from the 70's and re-made it into this........

These are absolutely STUNNING!  I love the concept of everyone woman is the Goddess looking in the mirror - - I want to give one to every woman in my family!

This is Sheldon the Wonder Turtle.  He lives in a 40 gal aquarium in my craft room and he is a total beggar!

Lately I have been loving using Kraft cardstock for all my layout bases.
