1  Honeydukes (The Wizarding World of Harry Potter) in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by Reel Crafty Girl on: February 19, 2017 02:02:16 PM
I recently visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and it was even better than anticipated!  My first layout is about Honeydukes which was just visually amazing!  And I bought A LOT of over priced candy!

I used the box from my Fizzing Whizzbees (so yummy!) as an embellishment

Be prepared to be flooded with HP layouts!

2  Stella as Frida (I scrapped my Halloween Contest Entry!) in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by Reel Crafty Girl on: January 24, 2017 05:38:23 PM
My little Stella dressed up as Frida Kahlo -- the first time I have entered any of the challenges here!  She did end up winning a $50 gift card to Petco at the local library pet costume contest.

This is a pretty simple layout....

3  Easy & Cute Magnetic Bookmarks in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Reel Crafty Girl on: January 17, 2017 06:38:41 PM
The Robin's Nest has a coated paper called "CanvasStock" - - is it paper? is it a stiff fabric?  I don't know!  But I use it in my scrapbooking and have also sewn a drawstring pouch with it!!

I made this magnetic bookmark using a 1" x 6" strip of CanvasStock (regular cardstock would work just fine!) I machine sewed around the edges for texture, then glued a 22" piece of ribbon down the center.  I glued magnet pieces on both ends of paper strip (on top of ribbon) and then added clear heart shaped "Dew Drops" to the ribbon ends.

I will be making a lot of these bookmarks and pair them with books I give as gifts!!

4  Toadstool Christmas Ornaments in Winter Holidays by Reel Crafty Girl on: November 29, 2016 05:28:59 PM
The theme for the annual ornament exchange I participate in is "Holiday Toadstools".  I created a dozen paper mache toadstools in all different shapes and sizes.  I glittered them with Heidi Swapp "Marquee Love Chunky Glitter" - - this glitter is so awesome - love it!

6  My dog as Frida Kahlo in CHALLENGE 116 ENTRIES by Reel Crafty Girl on: November 03, 2016 05:59:26 PM
Let me preface this by saying that I do not have any kids.  I am thankful I have patient dogs that let me dress them on Halloween and for our annual Christmas card.

This year, Stella was ready to greet Trick or Treaters as Frida Kahlo - - and it cost less than $5.00!!

I bought "Party Mustaches" at the Dollar Store a couple of years ago - - it just seemed funny - - "Party Mustaches" - well, they definitely came in handy to use as eyebrows!  The flower picks were .97 cents and had 5 buds each - - I purchased child's headband for .25 cents and first glued flowers onto a piece of felt (so I could get a nice full headpiece) and then glued the felt piece onto the headband.  One of my scarves and she was ready - - and she was a big hit with everyone who saw her!

7  Fall Decor from Vintage Grater in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Reel Crafty Girl on: October 23, 2016 03:28:09 PM
I created a little wall hanging (or I may tuck it in a bowl full of walnuts or something else!) from a rusty vintage grater - - and my banner says "grateful" on a grater - - haha! Smiley

Never pass up rusty kitchen gadgets at yard sales!!

8  Table Signs for Dessert Table or Buffet in Thanksgiving by Reel Crafty Girl on: October 08, 2016 10:18:13 AM
Can you believe I plucked these little easel signs from the trash?  They were written on with permanent marker, so I just covered them paper, chalk board decal and some fall embellies - - and voila!  Super cute signs to put next to my dishes on my Thanksgiving buffet!!

9  Frame Pincushion in Completed Projects by Reel Crafty Girl on: October 08, 2016 10:10:47 AM
I wish I could take credit for the original idea - - but a crafty friend of mine made one and I loved it, so created my own spin!  I will be making several of these as Christmas gifts for the sewers & crafters in my life Smiley

10  Pre Op / Post Op - Scrapbooking reall life in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by Reel Crafty Girl on: September 16, 2016 09:19:05 PM
I felt the need to share this story in my scrapbook - - above the hidden journaling is a photo of my tumor (the surgeon took the pic for me!)
