ok, so I thought I posted pictures, but apparently it didn't go through. I've been having this issue with this. I guess my computer doesn't like Craftster.
But here's what Gr33nT3a sent me. The dress she was working on didn't work out. She sent me a Doctor Who pouch and 2 DW necklaces, as well as a pattern for a dress. The silver chain had a clay Tardis on it, but it broke off and I can't find it. She also sent me pineapple candy, chocolates and these Hello Kitty sticks you dip in chocolate. But I ate them, lol.
I just received the BEST PACKAGE EVER from motherconfessor! No offense to any past swap partners, but this is without a doubt the best thing I have EVER got!
First up the tote bag, with Beauty and the Beast on the front and my favorite quote from the movie on the back.
Then comes the B&B shirt (which I promptly changed into after taking this picture), a pendant of the rose and a Princess and the Frog keychain (I almost bought a new keychain at walmart and decided against it and I'm glad I did because I love this one so much more!) It even looks like she made the box the keychain came in!
But the best, the absolute BEST are definitely these. 2 wood plaques, one with Beast and one with Belle, and a wooden frame with all their friends. I literally lost my breath when I saw these! SO AMAZING! Even my hubby commented on their awesomeness and what talent motherconfessor has!
*Squee!* Thank you so much, motherconfessor! This is just so outstanding!
I got my package from Larissa-Rasputin a few days ago and I absolutely ADORE everything she sent me!
A Dalek necklace, Van Gogh's exploding Tardis and a Barbie Size Dalek!
And here's my Doctor doll fighting off the Dalek! (with the Dalek and the Weeping Angel, I think he might be feeling a little outnumbered! But it's not too much for him to handle. )
And the Dalek t-shirt she made me!
She was a FANTASIC swap partner! She really listened to everything I wanted, like the barbie doll size Dalek, the Dalek necklace and the wall art were all things I listed. She even paid attention that I like elbow to long length sleeves! Thank you so much!!
I just got my matchbox from Fireartist4Life and I nearly had a heart attack because I was so thrilled!
I told her that I was making a Barbie dollhouse and that I have an orange tabby cat named Firefox. And this is what I got!
It's so epic. My cat even has the belly like her lovely clay kitty does! (Oh, and he loves playing with beads, so he's been going at it like crazy since when I opened it, some of the beads fell on the floo). I love it so very, very much! My favorite of the goodies inside were the little Reniassance pictures because they fit the theme of my dollhouse living room perfectly as wall photos!
I've really been into reconstructing Barbie dolls lately and making them look waaaay cooler then they are (who wants pink and malibu??). So I bought a cheap-o Barbie to make into my favorite character from one of my favorite TV series. Delenn is a Minbari who transformed into a Minbari-Human hybrid.
I know her eyes aren't the greatest, but it's my first real face paint and the first time I've painted something so small. I'm hoping I get better as I do it more. She also has no shoes because this doll had really large feet for a Barbie. I'm going to try to make her some when I get the pleather I need. I drafted the patterns for her clothing.
The thing in her hand is the triluminary and it's the device she used to turn half human. Mine is made out of toothpicks, wire from the edge of a ribbon and a hot glue drop.
If you haven't seen this series, definitely watch it. My husband had me hooked after the second episode!
I received my package from TheSapphireMoon on Monday! (It's been a busy few days!) And oh how I heart it!
She sent me a few pus size patterns (perfect for my best friend who is pregnant!), scraps of green and pink cloth, trims, green and purple glass beads and a bunch of other jewelry components. It made me REALLY happy because she definitely paid attention to my favorite colors! (Green, purple and pink)
Oh and right after I laid them out, I turned to get my camera and this is what I found:
Even my kitty loves what you sent! Thank you so much, TSM!!!
I love Modcloth.com. They have the greatest styles, but alas, they don't make things for us plus size gals. So how disappointed I was when I saw this AMAZING teal, ruffly dress. I wanted it so much. But then I remember that I bought some jersey material on clearance that was almost the exact same color! I didn't have enough to make a dress, but I did have enough to make a shirt!
My Version:
The Original
(The pic of me is a little funky because I didn't have anyone to take it for me, lol)
Even though it's not exact, I'm really happy with how it turned out! As I said, I used a jersey type material instead of chiffon. For the bodice, I used Butterick 5454. The ruffles and the bottom, I made up myself. I did put the bow on it, but I have it tying the back because it looks better that way on me.
Now, I just have to wait til the **5inches of snow** (how mad I am about that!) melts aways so I can wear it!
I got my package from RikaHeart a few days ago (been busy the past few days so I haven't been able to post pics until now)!
She made a carry bag with a Weeping Angel on it (I love these guys! And I really, really, really wanted a bag to carry all my stuff in!), a stuffed adipose, a set of car die with K-9 and an adipose (Unfortunately, it's illegal to hang things from the review mirror in the state I live in, so I'll have to find another purpose for them ) and some planet stickers!
(My kitty insisted he be in the picture. He does that a lot.)
I wanted to do something special for a friend of mine for Valentine's Day. And I thought she would like her very own Adipose Baby to hug! This is the very first plushie I've ever made. I made the pattern (took two times to get the angles right) and it's made out of fleece. The heart is detachable, in case she wanted to snuggle with it or use it as a pillow. I love how it came out so much I might have to make me one!
