Thanks so much, guys!

Also, signing and dating is a great idea! Our wedding happens to also be the anniversary of Star Wars so my fiance should be good, but I have trouble remembering my own birthday, so I appreciate the cheat code!

Oh my gosh I OWN that fabric! I make my fiance a guitar strap cover using it, and it is the coolest pattern ever! The dress is awesome! Great job!

In reality, they'll just be standing around in a sea of cupcakes, which is how I'd like to think my wedding will go. Smiley Just me, my beloved, and a sea of cupcakes--cupcakes as far as the eye can see!

Pardon the terrible mess on my table.

I couldn't find the little peg dolls that people usually use for these, so I got to spend ten embarrassing minutes in the wood section of the craft store trying to fit little pieces together through the plastic bags. They fit together super cute though, and the whole project was ridiculously easy (except for my fiance's stupid little bow tie. I had to redo that a few times). I think they'll look cute on some sort of shelf too, once the whole hullabaloo is over and done with. Hope you like them!

Thank you! Purple is her favorite color.

I have been crocheting since I was tiny, about 18 years now. I can make hats, scarves, housewares, toys, and pretty much anything I put my mind to or have a pattern for--in other words, I have a pretty solid concept of the basics. But one thing I've never managed to complete is an afghan. I just get so bored and before I know it, the afghan is under the bed in my "too complete later box" and by the time I find it I can't remember how to finish it, where the pattern for it is, or where I even stopped. This year, however, a combination of ADD medication and a determination to give my Mamaw, who helped teach me to crochet, the best Christmas gift ever, led me to finally start and complete an afghan.

Isn't she beautiful?

As you can see it's not huge, but it's just the right size for her to hang over her chair, which is all she was going to do anyway. Smiley I got the pattern from the November/December Crochet Today! issue. I'm pretty happy with it, and she loves it! Now if I could only get around to finishing my five year old's baby blanket...

Thanks! The hat really was nothing. It was done completely on public transit and actually got me a few offers for commission (pfft, as if anyone has time to make stuff to sell these days). It has a hip little slouch to the back of it that's kind of fun.

Again, I'm just glad it got there safe and Jess liked it!

I'm glad you like it! I was worried about everything, the trivet especially, since fabric that thick is an absolute beast to iron. I also was concerned the hat was too small or big. I'm glad you tried clipping the clips to the hat, because I actually did that too. Smiley And she does look like that, except her hair doesn't stick straight up, usually.

I am so relieved! I've been sweating bullets over whether or not it would get to you and also how well everything would settle! I'm glad you like it and can't wait for pictures!

Now, I'm pretty sure Jess lives on the other side of the planet. That being said, this wait is killing me. Also, I'm concerned about how things will settle in the package.

Oh man, is this what swap anxiety feels like?
