1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Doomed loom beading botch on: August 12, 2006 05:25:46 PM
Hi! After working many hours to bead spirit bracelets for my daughter and her fellow 15 (yes, 15! Why so many, I'll never know) cheerleaders to wear at camp. Didn't catch my mistake until the coach, who's also an English teacher, handed me this one back and asked if I put in a long night of crafting - HELL YES!  Shocked We had a good laugh at this one. I just had to show you guys this before I cut it up and saved the beads for another day.
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Don't kiss-off peace, baby! on: August 12, 2006 04:06:07 PM
I was just goofing around and embroidered these right on that iron-on mending tape stuff. Thought it would be easier, since you have an instant patch to iron-on wherever. Whatchathink?  Smiley

3  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Picture Hosting Support / The Red X of Doom & ways to fix that pesky photo-viewing problem on: January 20, 2006 01:15:54 PM
Just came across this while reading one of my geeky newsletters. It's a piece on solving the "I can't see your picture" problems. Good stuff, Maynard! Hope it helps.  Grin

Have you ever noticed that sometimes when viewing emails or websites,
the images do not appear, but a little red X shows up instead?  Or
maybe it happens when you attach pictures to outgoing emails, and the
recipients complain that THEY get the Red X of Doom.

Sometimes it's human error, but more often it's yet another case of
software trying to save us from ourselves...  There are a bunch of
reasons why you might see that annoying red X while viewing a website
with Internet Explorer or an email with Outlook.  Here are some of the
possible reasons, and suggested fixes for each:
