1  Re: postage stamp necklaces... (tutorial added.) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by MargaretMayI on: January 01, 2007 05:11:18 PM
I'm so happy - I finally made the plunge, set aside any self-doubts and went for it & tried soldering. OMG - what a very cool craft/art!!! I'm hooked now. Thank you, thank you, thank you Alycimo!

My husband's grandmother passed away last year, so I found an old photo of her and PhotoShop'd it a bit and made a charm/ornament (2" x 2") for everyone. A total hit! Here's the front:

I'm now working on a Super Heroes series based on the new stamps that the post office has out. YEAH  Grin

2  Doomed loom beading botch in Stitch And BOTCH by MargaretMayI on: August 12, 2006 05:25:46 PM
Hi! After working many hours to bead spirit bracelets for my daughter and her fellow 15 (yes, 15! Why so many, I'll never know) cheerleaders to wear at camp. Didn't catch my mistake until the coach, who's also an English teacher, handed me this one back and asked if I put in a long night of crafting - HELL YES!  Shocked We had a good laugh at this one. I just had to show you guys this before I cut it up and saved the beads for another day.

3  Don't kiss-off peace, baby! in Needlework: Completed Projects by MargaretMayI on: August 12, 2006 04:06:07 PM
I was just goofing around and embroidered these right on that iron-on mending tape stuff. Thought it would be easier, since you have an instant patch to iron-on wherever. Whatchathink?  Smiley
